A very big shout to all fathers and father figures out there. Happy Father’s Day! We are thankful for your good work, and we are glad to have you. Thank you for the care and love you show your children and spouse. I once heard this analogy; it goes like this: A father is like a soldier; he is always charging forward, battling for victory. A soldier on duty has no time; every time is precious to them. They have so much pressure on them. Many hopeful people depend on their success. Their nation, their family, and their children are dependent on them. Like a soldier, a father has to face a lot of pressure. They stand firm through every situation. Sometimes they may seem harsh. However, this is usually due to the mountain of responsibility they bear. What our father needs are our care, love, and encouragement.
As we requested in our mother’s day blog post if you are a son or daughter and you cannot recall the last time you told your dad, “I love you,” please do that today. Wives and our Mothers, I encourage you to show love to the father of your children, born or otherwise. Celebrate him, make him feel like a King.
Your Father Loves You.
For some, the topic of fatherhood is a very delicate one. Someone reading this may have already lost their father. Another reader may have a father who is presently ill. Someone reading this might conflict with their dad. Many people are finding this father’s day difficult. We pray that the Lord will heal every sick father and mend every conflict in Jesus’s name. Amen!
Luke 11:11-13 (NIV)
11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
To orphans, those left with only memories of their departed father, and those who have never even had a father or father figure, know that there is a heavenly father. Your heavenly father loves you and cares about you deeply. Luke 11:11-13 assures that your heavenly father, who is always good, has so much more for you than your biological father can give. When I ponder about God, I am amazed by His compassion. Psalm 68:5 “calls him the father of the fatherless, a defender of the widows.“ He always has you in mind.
Once again, happy Father’s Day to all our daddies abroad. To those still trusting in God, we pray that the God who made Abraham a father and Zechariah a father, will bless you.
