Ezekiel 13

¹ God speak to me.

² He talk say, "Son of man, reject prophet of Israel wey dey form their own prophecies. Tell them say make dem hear the word of God."

³ Na wetin Almighty God talk be this: "These foolish prophets don enter trouble! Dem no see any vision, dem just dey create their own message.

⁴ People of Israel, una prophets be like fox wey dey live for city wey don destroy.

⁵ Dem no warn the people about trouble wey dey come or tell them the danger wey dey for people wey sin against me.

⁶ Those prophet dey lie say dem dey speak for me, but I never choose them to be my prophet. And dem still dey think say their words go come true.

⁷ Dem dey talk say dem dey preach my message, but na lie, I no dey speak to them!

⁸ So I go punish those foolish prophet for deceiving people of Israel with false message.

⁹ I go soon punish you prophet who get false vision and dey give misleading prediction, una no go ey there when my people gather dey make decision; una name no go dey list of people of Israel; una no go return to una land. Then una go know say I be Almighty God.

¹⁰ Those prophets refuse no dey honest, dem tell my people say, peace go dey, even though say peace no dey. Dem be like worker wey think say dem fit cover crack wall by using paint to cover am.

¹¹ When I send rainstorm, hailstone, and strong wind, the wall go fall down.

¹² People go come ask the worker say, why the paint no fit hold am.

¹³ That wall na city of Jerusalem and I, Almighty God dey vex that I go send strong wind, rainstorms, and hailstones to destroy am.

¹⁴ The lying prophet don try cover evil in Jerusalem, but I go tear down the city, all the way go down its foundation. And all those prophet go die when E dey fall down and everyone go know say I don do all these things.

¹⁵ The city of Jerusalem and its lying prophets go feel my anger. And then I go announce say the city don fall and the lying prophet don die,

¹⁶ because dem promise my people peace, when peace no dey I, Almighty God, don speak.

¹⁷ Son of man, condemn the women of Israel wey dey preach message wey dey come from their own mind.

¹⁸ Tell dem say dem don enter trouble! Dem wear magic charm for their waist and scarves for their head, and then dey deceive others to believe dem say, dem fit tell about future. Dem go suffer for telling those lies.

¹⁹ Una dishonour me in front of my people so that una fit get few handful of barley and bread. Una kill people wey no suppose die, and una keep people wey suppose die, alive. And So una lie to my people and dem believe una.

²⁰ I hate the charm wey dem dey use deceive people to dey believe their lie. I go remove those charm from their waist and I go set free those people wey dem don cage like bird.

²¹ I go cut the scarves from their head and I go rescue my people their people. Then dem go know say I be the Almighty God.

²² Dem do things wey I no fit do. Dem lie to good people and encourage them to dey do wrong, and them convince the wicked make dem stop sin so them fit destroy their own life.

²³ I no go allow these women give false message and use magic again and I go free my people from their power. Then dem go know say I, the Almighty God don do these things.
