Numbers 19

¹ God give Moses and Aaron the law wey follow:

² People of Israel must bring a reddish-brown cow wey no get error and wey dem never use for farm work before to Moses.

³ Make Moses give am to Eleazar the priest, then make dem lead the cow outside camp and kill am as Eleazar dey watch.

⁴ He go put him finger inside the blood and sprinkle am seven times for the direction of the Holy Tent.

⁵ Make dem come burn the cow with the skin, meat, blood, and the internal organs.

⁶ Make a priest throw stick of cedar wood, hyssop branch, and a piece of red wool inside the fire.

⁷ After the ceremony, the priest go bath and wash him cloth. Na after then he fit go back to the camp, and he go dey unclean for worship till evening.

⁸ The man wey burn the cow, make he wash him cloth and bath too, but he go also dey unclean for worship till evening.

⁹ Make a man wey no dey unclean collect the ashes of the cow wey dem burn and go store am for a clean place outside the camp. The people of Israel fit mix these ashes with water wey dem dey use for ceremony to wash away sin.

¹⁰ The man wey collect the ashes must wash him cloth, but he go remain unclean till evening. Make people of Israel and foreigners wey dey live among them dey always obey this law.

¹¹ God say, “If una touch dead body, una go dey unclean for seven days.

¹² But if una wash with water wey dem mix with the cow ashes for third day and again for seventh day, una go dey clean for worship. Una must wash unaself those day; if una no do am, una go remain unclean.

¹³ Suppose say una touch dead body, but una no gree make unaself clean by washing with water wey dem mix with cow ashes. Una go dey guilty of making my Holy Tent unclean and una no go be one of my people again.

¹⁴ If person die for inside Tent when you dey there, you go dey unclean for seven days, and anyone wey later enter the Tent go also dey unclean.

¹⁵ Any open jar wey dey inside the Tent go dey unclean.

¹⁶ If you touch body of person wey die or wey dem kill, or if you touch human bone or grave, you go dey unclean for seven days.

17-18 Before you fit dey clean, someone wey dey clean go take some ashes of the cow wey dem burn and mix am with spring water inside pot. That same person go put hyssop branch inside the water and ashes, and sprinkle am on the Tent and everything wey dey inside am, with every person wey dey inside am. If you don touch human bone, grave, or dead body, make he sprinkle you the water.

¹⁹ If una don do am on third day and seventh day, you go dey clean. Then you fit worship for evening, after you don bath and wash your cloth.

²⁰ If you dey unclean and you no gree make dem make you clean with water wey dem mix with ashes, you go dey guilty of making my Holy Tent unclean, and you no go be one of my people again.

²¹ These laws no go ever change. The man wey sprinkle you with water and ashes when you dey unclean, make he wash him cloth. And anyone wey touch this water go dey unclean till evening.

²² When you dey unclean, everything wey you touch go become unclean, and anyone wey touch you go become unclean till evening.
