Micah 7

¹ I dey vex because I be like hungry person wey no see fruit on top trees and no grapes on the vines. Dem don pick all the grapes and the figs wey I like don finish.

² Honest person no remain for the land, no one dey loyal to God. Everyone dey wait for chance to commit murder. Everyone dey kill him own people. Dem all be experts in doing evil. Officials and judges dey ask for bribe. Rich person dey tell them wetin he want, and so dem dey plan am together.

⁴ Even the ones wey honest pass among them be like useless weeds. The day don come wey God go punish the people, as he don warn dem through their watchmen, the prophets. Now, dem don dey confused.

⁵ Make una no believe una neigbour or trust una friend. Make una dey careful of wetin una tell una wife.

⁶ For this time, children dey treat their father like fools, daughters dey go against their mothers, and young women dey fight with their mother in-law; person enemy na member of him own family.

⁷ But I go watch for the LORD; I go wait for God, wey go save me. My God go hear me.

⁸ Our enemies no need to dey happy over us. We don fall, but we go rise again. We dey darkness now, but God go give us light.

⁹ We don sin against God, so we go suffer him anger for some time. But for end, he go defend us and right the wrong wey dem don do to us. He go bring us out to light; we go live to see him save us.

¹⁰ Naso our enemy go see this and shame go catch them - the same enemy wey mock us as dem ask us say, “Where the LORD una God?” We go see dem lose, martch down like mud for streets.

¹¹ People of Jerusalem, the time to rebuild the city wall dey come. And that time una territory go become large.

¹² Una people go come back to una from everywhere - from Assyria for east, from Egypt for south, from Euphrates region, from far seas and mountains wey dey far.

¹³ But the earth go become a desert because of the wickedness of people wey dey live on top am.

¹⁴ Rule your people, LORD, the people wey you don choose. Although dem live separate for widerness, good land dey around dem. Allow them go chop for rich land of Bashan and Gilead, as dem don do before.

¹⁵ God, do miracle for us, like you don do the days when you bring us commot from Egypt.

¹⁶ The nations go see this and dem go tire on top all their strength. Dem go close their mouths and cover their ears in fear.

¹⁷ Dem go crawl for dust like snake; dem go shake for fear; dem go come from their strong defense with fear. Dem go turn to the LORD our God in fear

¹⁸ No other god be like you, O LORD; you forgive the sins of your people wey don survive. You no dey vex for ever, but you like to dey always show us your love.

¹⁹ You go dey merciful to us one more time. You go destroy our sins and send dem go bottom of sea!

²⁰ You go show your faithfulness and love to your people, the descendants of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, as you don promise our anscestors long time ago.
