Isaiah 66

¹ God talk say, “Heaven na my throne, and earth na wetin I dey rest my leg on top. Den which kind house, , una fit build for me, which kind place for me to dey live?

² Na me create the whole universe by myself! I dey happy with those wey dey humble and repent from their sin, those wey fear and obey me.

³ “The people do as dem like. Na the same thing e be to them whether dem kill bull as sacrifice or kill human being as sacrifice; whether dem sacrifice lamb or dem break neck of dog; whether dem present grain offering or dem offer blood of pig; whether dem offer incense or dem pray to idols. Dem dey enjoy ways of worship wey no make sense.

⁴ So I go bring trouble on them -the trouble wey dem dey fear- because no one dey answer when I call or listen when I dey speak. Dem chose to dey disobey me and to dey do evil.”

⁵ Make una listen to wetin the LORD talk, una wey fear and obey him: “Because una dey faithful to me, some of una people hate una and dem no one get anything to do with una. Dem mock una and talk say, ‘Make God show him greatness and save una, so that we fit see una dey happy.’ But shame go catch them!

⁶ Make una listen! The loud noise inside city, wey dey sound for the Temple, na sound of punishment wey God dey give him enemies!

⁷ “My holy city be like woman wey dey give birth to pikin siuddenly, wey she no go labour.

¹ Make una celebrate with Jerusalem; make una happy for her, all of una wey love this city! Make una celebrate with her now, all of una wey don cry for her!

¹ God talk say, “I go bring una prosperity wey go last; the wealth of nations go flow to una like river wey no dey dry. Una go be like pikin wey hin mother dey nurse, wey she dey carry for her arm, and dey treat with love.

¹ I go comfort una for Jerusalem, as mother dey comfort her pikin.

¹ When una see this dey happen, una go dey happy; e go make una dey strong and healthy. Then una go know say I, the LORD, I dey help those wey obey me, and I dey show my anger against my enemies.”

¹ The LORD go come with fire. He go ride on top wings of storm to punish those wey he dey vex for.

¹ He go punish all the people of the world wey he find guilty with fire and sword- and plenty go die.

¹ God talk say, “The end don near for those wey purify themselves for pagan worship, wey march go holy gardens, and wey chop pork and mice and other useless foods.

¹ I know wetin dem think and do. I dey come con gather people of all nations. When dem come together, dem go see wetin my power fit do

¹ And dem go know say I be the one wey punish them. “But I go keep some of them and I go send them go nations and far lands wey never hear of my fame or wey never see my greatness and power: to Spain, Libya, and Lydia, with hin arrow men wey get skill, and go Tubal and Greece. Dem go announce my greatness amongs these nations.

² Dem go bring back una fellow-Israelites from the nations as gift to me. Dem go bring them come my holy hill for Jerusalem on top horses, mules, and camels, and inside chariots and wagons, just as Israelite dey bring grain offering come the Temple inside clean containers.

² I go make some of them Priests and Levites.

² “Just as the new earth and heavens go endure by my power, naso una descendants and una name go endure.

² People of every nations go come worship me here in Jerusalem, on every New Moon Festival and for every Sabbath,” naso God talk.
