Hosea 6

¹ People talk say, "Make we go back to God! He don hurt us, but he go dey sure to heal us; he don wound us, but he go put bandage for our wound, no be so?

² He go revive us in two to three days, and we go live for him presence.

³ Make we try know God. He go surely come to us in the morning, e dey sure like spring rain wey dey water the earth."

⁴ But God talk say, wetin I wan do with una, "Israel and Judah? Una love for me don disappear quickly as morning mist; e be like dew, wey vanish early in the morning.

⁵ Na the reason why I don send my prophet to una with my message of judgement and destruction. Wetin I want from una na plain and clear:

⁶ I want una constant love, no be una animal sacrifice. I go like make my people know me pass make dem dey burn offering to me.

⁷ "But as soon as them enter land of Adam, dem break the covenant wey I make with them.

⁸ Na evil people and murderer full city of Gilead.

⁹ The priest na gang of robbers wey dey hide and wait for road to attack someone. Even dem dey commit murder for Shechem on the road wey go holy place. And dem dey do all these evil things willingly!

¹⁰ I don see horrible things for Israel: my people don make themselves unclean by worshipping idols.

¹¹ "And as for una, people of Judah, I don set to punish una too for wetin una dey do.
