Ezekiel 40

⁴ The man talk say, "Ezekiel, son of man, pay close attention to everything wey I go show you-na reason why I bring you come here. Listen carefully because you must tell people of Israel wetin you see."

⁵ The first thing wey I see na outer wall wey surround temple area completely. That man take measuring stick, wey be three meter long, and he come measure the wall: the wall na three meter high and na three meter thick.

⁶ Then he come go east gate, where he walk go up step wey lead to long passageway. And three guardrooms dey for each side of this passageway wey be three meter square, and wall separate them wey be two and half meters thick. The man come measure the distance wey dey between opening of the gate and the first guardroom, and na three meter, wey be thickness of the wall.

⁷ At far end of this passageway, I come see entrance room wey face courtyard of temple. Dem also get three meter distance between last guardroom and entrance room

⁸ at end of passageway.

⁹ The man come measure this room: and na four meter E be from doorway go opposite wall, and distance from door way go end on other side na one meter.

¹⁰ Three guardrooms for each side of passageway na same size and wall wey separate them na same thickness.

¹¹ Next thing be say, the man come measure width of the passage, and na six and half meters E be, but two doors of the gate na only five meter wide.

²¹ This gate too get three guardroom for each side of passageway. The measurement of these rooms, the wall wey dey between them, and the entrance room for far end of passageway na exactly the same as those wey dey east gate. The north gate too na 25meters long and 12.5 meter wide,

²² The windows, the entrance room, carving of palm tree be like those of east gate. The entrance room too face the courtyard of the temple and e get seven set wey dey go up to am.

²³ A gate dey wey lead to inner courtyard, wey dey directly across the outer courtyard, just as e dey for east gate. The man come measure the distance between outer and inner gate and e be 50meters.

²⁴ The man come carry me go south gate. He come measure the wall and entrance room of this gate, and the measurement na the same with those two gate.

²⁵ Windows dey guardroom of this gate and dey for entrance room, just like others and this gate na 25 meter long and 12.5 wide.

²⁶ Na seven step lead up go gate, the entrance room dey far end of passageway and dey face courtyard of the temple. Dem carve palm tree take decorate wall of along the passageway.

²⁷ Gate dey the south side of the inner courtyard wey dey directly across outer courtyard. The man come measure the distance wey dey between inner and outer gate, and the distance na 50meters.

²⁸ We come go inner courtyard through gate wey dey south side for the temple. The man come measure the gate and na the same size e be with gate wey dey outer wall.

³⁰ This gate na like others, na 25meter long and 12.5 meter wide.

³⁶ Including guard room, the wall wey dey separate them, and entrance room. Window too dey this gate. E be 25meters long and 12.5 meter wide,

³⁷ And like other inner gate, the entrance room dey face outer courtyard, and dem decorate hin wall with carving of palm tree. Na eight steps also lead up go this gate.

³⁸ I see four table, and two dey each side of the room, where dem dey kill animal wey dem wan use do sacrifice for inside entrance room of north gate

³⁹ Small building dey inside this room wey dem dey use to dey wash the animal before dem offer dem as sacrifice so e fit please God or sacrifice for sin oe to make things right.

⁴⁰ Four more table dey for the courtyard, two dey each side of the step wey dey lead go entrance room.

⁴¹ So na 8 tables dey there together, four for inside and four for outside, where dem dey kill the animals,

⁴² And where dem dey put the meat until dem sacrifice am for alter.

⁴⁶ And the building wey dey beside south gate belong to those wey serve for alter. All of them na descendant of Zadok and only Levites wey dem allow to dey serve as priest of God. "

⁴⁷ Now the man come measure the inner courtyard, and na 50 meter square e be. Me too see alter in front of temple.

⁴⁸ We walk go porch of the temple, and the man measure doorway of the porch: e be seven mete long, two and half meters wide, and distance from doorway to wall on either side na one and half meters.
