Daniel 6
1 Darius decide say he go chose
120 governors make dem hold office throughout him kingdom.
2 And in addition, he choose Daniel and two others to dey supervise the governors and to dey look after the interest of the king.
3 Daniel show say he fit do better work pass to dey supervise the governors, because he dey outstanding, so the king consider to make am dey in charge of the whole kingdom.
4 Then other supervisors and governor dey find something wrong to say about the way wey Daniel dey rule the kingdom, but dem no see, because Daniel dey reliable and he no dey do anything wrong or dishonest.
5 Dem tell one another say, we no fit see anything take against Daniel, unless na something to do with him religion."
6 So dem go see the king say, "King Darius, may Your Majesty live forever!
7 All of us wey dey serve for your kingdom " the supervisor, the governors, the lieutenant- governors, and the other officials don agree say make Your Majesty make order and make you force am on top everyone. Make you give order say, for thirty days make anyone no ask anything from any god or from human being except from Your Majesty. Anyone wey no obey, make dem throw am for pit of lion.
8 And so make Your Majesty give this order and make you sign am, and e go be in force, a law of Medes and Persian, wey no fit change."
9 Na so king Darius sign the order.
10 And Daniel go home when he hear say king don sign the order. The room wey dey the upstairs for hin house wey the window dey face Jerusalem, just as he dey always do, he kneel down for the open window dey pray to God three times a day.
11 When Daniel enemy see am dey pray to God,
12 na so all of dem go meet king to talk against Daniel, dem talk say, "Your Majesty, you sign order say, for the next thirty days anyone wey request anything from god or human being except you, make put am inside pit of lion." He reply say, "Yes, na strict order, law of Medes and Persians, wey no fit change."
13 Then dem tell the king say, "Daniel of the people wey come from Judah, no respect Your Majesty or obey the order wey you don give. He dey pray regularly three times a day."
14 As king hear this, he vex and con dey find way to rescue Daniel, he dey try until night.
15 And then Daniel enemy come back con tell the king say, "Your Majesty you know say according to the law of Medes and Persians, any order wey king don make no fit change."
16 So the king give order make dem arrest Daniel put am inside pit of lion. He tell Daniel say, "May your God, wey you dey serve loyally, rescue you".
17 Dem use stone cover the pit, and the king put him own seal and seal of the noblemen on top the stone, so nobody go fit rescue Daniel.
18 Na so the king go back to palace but e no gree sleep for night, chop or do any entertainment.
19 In the morning the king run go the pit.
20 As he reach there, he rush call Daniel, servant of the living God! Hope say the God wey you serve loyally dey able to save you from the lions?"
21 Daniel answer say, "May Your Majesty live forever!
22 God send him angel make dem close the mouth of the lion so that dem no go fit hurt me. He do am because he know say I dey innocent and I no do you wrong, Your Majesty."
23 The king dey happy, tell dem make dem comot Daniel for the pit. So dem comot am and see say he no get wound at all because say he trust God.
24 The king con give order make dem carry all the men wey bring case against Daniel, throw all of dem with their children and wives inside the pit of lions. And before dem reach the bottom of the pit, the lion don jump on top dem, break all their bones.
25 And then king Darius write to people of all nations, race, and language on earth say "Greetings!
26 I command say throughout my kingdom, make everyone dey fear and respect the God of Daniel. He be living God, and he go dey rule for ever. Him kingdom no go destroy and him power no go end.
27 He dey always safe and rescue; he dey perform miracle for heaven and on top earth. He safe Daniel for the pit of lion."
28 Na so Daniel prosper during the time wey Darius be king and the time wey Cyrus the Persian be king.
