Daniel 4

¹ King Nebuchadnezzar send the message wey dey down give people of all nations, races, and language wey dey the world: Greetings!

² Make una hear the kind miracle and wonders wey God don show me.

³ God don do amazing miracles! He don do powerful miracle! Him kingdom dey continue forever; and he go dey rule for all generations.

⁴ "I dey live comfortable for my palace, as I dey enjoy great prosperity.

⁵ But I see dream wey make me fear and terrible vision when I dey sleep.

⁶ I ask all the royal advisor for Babylon make dem com to me, so dem go fit tell me wetin the dream mean.

⁷ And all the fortune teller, magician, wizard, and the astrologers too come, and I tell dem my dream but dem no fit explain am to me.

⁸ And then Daniel come( wey I dey call Belteshazzar, take honor my god) the spirit of God dey with am, naso I tell am the dream wey I get say:

⁹ Belteshazzar, chief of fortune teller, I know say spirit of God dey with you and you understand secret. This na my dream, so tell me wetin e mean.

¹⁰ When I dey sleep, I see vision of big tree for middle of the earth.

¹¹ E dey grow bigger and bigger until e reach the sky and everyone for the world fit see am.

¹² The leaf dey beautiful and e get plenty fruit for body, e reach for whole world to eat, and animal dey rest under am, birds build nest for the branches, and every living being dey eat the fruit.

¹³ "As I dey think about the vision, na so I see angel dey come down from heaven, alert and watchful.

¹⁴ He shout for loud voice say, " Make una cut the tree down, chop the branches, remove all the leaves and scatter the fruit. Pursue all the animal wey dey under am and all the bird comot for hin branches.

¹⁵ But make una allow the root stay for ground with bronze and iron round am. E go dey for ground with grass round am. E go live among wild animals and plant in the field and e go become wet with dew.

¹⁶ He no go get human mind for seven years, but na animal mind he go get.

¹⁷ This na the decision of the alert and watchful angel, so then , make people for everywhere know say the supreme God get power over human kingdom and he fit give them to anyone wey he like " even to those wey no too dey important."

¹⁸ King Nebuchadnezzar talk say, na the dream wey I get be this. "Now Belteshazzar, tell me wetin e mean, because none of my royal advisor fit tell me, but you fit tell me because the spirit of God dey with you."

¹⁹ Naso Daniel, wey dem dey call Belteshazzar, dey fear so tey he no fit say anything, the king tell am say, "Belteshazzar, no allow the dream and the message fear you." And Belteshazzar answer am say, "Your Majesty, I wish say the dream and the explanation na for your enemy and no be for you.

²⁰ The tree tall reach sky wey be say everyone for world fit see am.

²¹ Hin leave dey beautiful and get plenty fruit wey everybody for the whole world fit chop. Wild animals dey rest under am, and bird dey make their nest for hin branches.

²² "Your Majesty, na you be the tree, tall and strong, you don grow so tey you dey reach the sky, and your power go the whole earth.

²³ As Your Majesty dey watch, one angel come down from heaven and talk say, "cut down the tree and destroy am, but make una leave the root for ground. Use band of iron and bronze tie am round, and make una leave am for there for field with the grass. Make una let dew fall on this man, and make he dey live there with animal for seven years."

²⁴ "This na wetin e mean Your Majesty, and this na wetin the supreme God don talk say go happen to you.

²⁵ You go commot for human society go live with wild animal. For seven years you go chop grass like animal, and you go dey sleep for outside, where the dew go fall on you, na then you go gree say supreme God dey control all human kingdom, and say he fit give am to anyone wey he like.

²⁶ The angel talk say make dem live the root for ground, this mean say, you go become king again when you don gree say na God dey rule all the world.

²⁷ Make you listen to my advice Your Majesty, stop to dey sin, make you dey do the right thing, and make you dey merciful to the poor. Then you go continue to dey prosper."

²⁸ All this thing happen to king Nebuchadnezzar.

²⁹ Twelve months after, as he dey waka on top the roof of him palace in Babylon,

³⁰ He talk say, see as Babylon great! Na me build am as my capital city to show my power and might, my glory and majesty."

³¹ Before the words commot for him mouth, one voice from heaven say, "King Nebuchadnezzar, hear wetin I talk! Your royal power don commot for your hand.

³² You go commot from human society, and you go dey live with wild animal where you go dey eat grass like animal for seven years. And then you go gree say supreme God get power over human kingdom and say he fit give dem to anyone wey he choose."

³³ The word happen immediately. Nebuchadnezzar commot for human society dey chop grass like animal. Dew fall on top him body, him hair grow long like feather of eagle and him nail long like nail of bird.

³⁴ The king talk say, "when the seven years pass, I look up and my sense come back. And I praise Almighty God, dey give honor and glory to the one wey dey live forever. "He go rule forever, and him kingdom go last for all time.

³⁵ He look people wey dey the earth as nothing; angel wey dey heaven and people on earth dey under him control, nobody fit oppose am or question am for wetin he dey do.

³⁶ "When my sense return, God give me back my honor, my majesty, and the glory of my kingdom. My official and noblemen welcome me, and dem give me my royal power with greater honor pass the one wey I get before.

³⁷ "And now, I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, honor, and glorify the king of heaven. Everything wey he do dey right and just, and he fit handle anyone wey dey proud."
