Psalms 35
God, make you dey against those wey dey against me, and fight those wey fight against me
Carry your shield and armor make you come rescue me.
Make you lift up your spear and war axe against those wey dey pursue me. Promise say you go save me.
Make shame and defeat catch those wey wan kill me; those wey plan against me make dem confuse and turn back
Make dem be like grass wey wind dey blow commot as the angel of the LORD dey pursue them!
Make their way dey dark and slippery when the angel of the LORD strike them down!
For no reason dem set trap for me and dig deep hole to catch me.
But destruction go catch them before dem know anything; dem go catch theirself for their trap and fall enter their destruction,
then I go happy because of the LORD; I go happy because he don save me.
With all my heart I go tell the LORD say, Nobody be like you. You dey protect the weak from the strong, and protect the poor from the oppressor.
Evil people dey testify against me and dem dey accuse me of crime I no know anything about.
Dem dey pay me back evil for good, and I dey inside pain.
But when dem sick, I dey dress them for morning and I no dey chop because of them; I dey bow my head to pray,
as I go pray for my friend or brother. I dey go around dey bend over for morning, like person wey dey mourn for him mama.
But when I been dey for trouble, dem dey happy and dem dey gather for my side dey make fun of me; strangers dey beat me and dem continue dey strike me.
Like people wey dey mock cripple, dem they look me with hatred.
God, how long you go just dey look? Free me from their attack; come save me from these lions,
then I go thank you for where your people gather; I go praise you for their front.
No allow my enemy wey dey lie dey happy over my defeat. No allow those wey hate me for no reason dey happy over my sorrow.
Dem no dey speak for way wey dey friendly; instead dem dey make all kind lie about peace-loving people.
Dem dey shout dey accuse me say, We been see wetin you do!
But O LORD, you don see am. So make you no dey silent, LORD; no keep yourself far away from me.
Stand up, O LORD, make you come defend me; Make you rise up my God and fight for me.
You dey righteous, O LORD, make you declare me innocent; No let my enemy rejoice over me.
No allow them tell themselves say, We don destroy him! Na wetin we want be that!
Make shame catch those wey dey happy on top my trouble. Make shame and disgrace cover those wey dey claim say dem better pass me.
Make those wey want best for me shout for joy and talk am again and again say, The LORD na great God! He dey happy with him servant as he dey succeed.
Then I go proclaim your righteousness, and I go praise you all day long.
