1 OLUWA gbogun tì awọn ti o gbogun tì mi: fi ìja fun awọn ti mba mi jà.

1 Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

2 Di asà on apata mu, ki o si dide fun iranlọwọ mi.

2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.

3 Fa ọ̀kọ yọ pẹlu, ki o si dèna awọn ti nṣe inunibini si mi: wi fun ọkàn mi pe, emi ni igbala rẹ.

3 Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.

4 Ki nwọn ki o dãmu, ki a si tì awọn ti nwá ọkàn mi loju: ki a si mu wọn pada, ki a si dãmu awọn ti ngbiro ipalara mi.

4 Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt.

5 Ki nwọn ki o dabi iyangbo niwaju afẹfẹ: ki angeli Oluwa ki o ma le wọn.

5 Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.

6 Ki ọ̀na wọn ki o ṣokunkun ki o si ma yọ́; ki angeli Oluwa ki o si ma lepa wọn.

6 Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.

7 Nitori pe, li ainidi ni nwọn dẹ àwọn wọn silẹ fun mi, nwọn wà iho silẹ fun ọkàn mi li ainidi.

7 For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul.

8 Ki iparun ki o wá si ori rẹ̀ li ojiji; àwọn rẹ̀ ti o dẹ, ki o mu on tikararẹ̀: iparun na ni ki o ṣubu si.

8 Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

9 Ọkàn mi yio si ma yọ̀ niti Oluwa: yio si ma yọ̀ ninu igbala rẹ̀.

9 And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation.

10 Gbogbo egungun mi ni yio wipe, Oluwa, tali o dabi iwọ, ti ngbà talaka lọwọ awọn ti o lagbara jù u lọ, ani talaka ati alaini lọwọ ẹniti nfi ṣe ikogun?

10 All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?

11 Awọn ẹlẹri eke dide; nwọn mbi mi li ohun ti emi kò mọ̀.

11 False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.

12 Nwọn fi buburu san ore fun mi, lati sọ ọkàn mi di ofo.

12 They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.

13 Ṣugbọn bi o ṣe ti emi ni, nigbati ara wọn kò dá, aṣọ àwẹ li aṣọ mi: mo fi àwẹ rẹ̀ ọkàn mi silẹ; adura mi si pada si mi li aiya.

13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

14 Emi ṣe ara mi bi ẹnipe ọrẹ tabi arakunrin mi tilẹ ni: emi fi ibinujẹ tẹriba, bi ẹniti nṣọ̀fọ iya rẹ̀.

14 I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.

15 Ṣugbọn ninu ipọnju mi nwọn yọ̀, nwọn si kó ara wọn jọ: awọn enia-kenia kó ara wọn jọ si mi, emi kò si mọ̀; nwọn fa mi ya, nwọn kò si dakẹ.

15 But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not:

16 Pẹlu awọn àgabagebe ti iṣe ẹlẹya li apejẹ, nwọn npa ehin wọn si mi.

16 With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

17 Oluwa iwọ o ti ma wò pẹ to? yọ ọkàn mi kuro ninu iparun wọn, ẹni mi kanna lọwọ awọn kiniun.

17 Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.

18 Emi o ṣọpẹ fun ọ ninu ajọ nla: emi o ma yìn ọ li awujọ ọ̀pọ enia.

18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.

19 Máṣe jẹ ki awọn ti nṣe ọta mi lodi ki o yọ̀ mi; bẹ̃ni ki o má si ṣe jẹ ki awọn ti o korira mi li ainidi ki o ma ṣẹju si mi.

19 Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

20 Nitori ti nwọn kò sọ̀rọ alafia: ṣugbọn nwọn humọ ọ̀ran ẹ̀tan si awọn enia jẹjẹ ilẹ na.

20 For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.

21 Nitotọ, nwọn ya ẹnu wọn silẹ si mi, nwọn wipe, A! ã! oju wa ti ri i!

21 Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.

22 Eyi ni iwọ ti ri, Oluwa: máṣe dakẹ: Oluwa máṣe jina si mi.

22 This thou hast seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.

23 Rú ara rẹ soke, ki o si ji si idajọ mi, ati si ọ̀ran mi, Ọlọrun mi ati Oluwa mi.

23 Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.

24 Ṣe idajọ mi, Oluwa Ọlọrun mi, gẹgẹ bi ododo rẹ, ki o má si ṣe jẹ ki nwọn ki o yọ̀ mi.

24 Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.

25 Máṣe jẹ ki nwọn kí o wi ninu ọkàn wọn pe, A! bẹ̃li awa nfẹ ẹ: máṣe jẹ ki nwọn ki o wipe, Awa ti gbé e mì.

25 Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

26 Ki oju ki o tì wọn, ki nwọn ki o si dãmu pọ̀, ti nyọ̀ si ifarapa mi: ki a fi itiju ati àbuku wọ̀ wọn ni aṣọ, ti ngberaga si mi.

26 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.

27 Jẹ ki nwọn ki o ma hó fun ayọ̀, ki nwọn ki o si ma ṣe inu-didùn, ti nṣe oju-rere si ododo mi: lõtọ ki nwọn ki o ma wi titi pe, Oluwa ni ki a ma gbega, ti o ni inu-didùn si alafia iranṣẹ rẹ̀.

27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

28 Ahọn mi yio si ma sọ̀rọ ododo rẹ, ati ti iyìn rẹ ni gbogbo ọjọ.

28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.
