LORD, you don check me and you know me.
You know everything wey I do; from far you know wetin I dey think.
You dey see me, wether I dey work or rest; you know all my action.
Even before I talk, you know wetin I wan talk already.
You dey around me for every side; you dey protect me with your power.
The knowledge wey you get about me dey deep; e pass wetin I know.
Where I fit go make I escape from you? Where I fit run away from your presence?
If I go heaven, you dey there; if I lie for world of the dead, you dey there.
If I fly away pass the east or live for far place in the west,
you go dey there to lead me, you go dey there to help me.
I fit ask darkness make e hide me or make light wey dey around me turn night,
but even darkness no dey dark for you, and night bright like day. Darkness and light na the same to you.
Na you create every part of me; na you put me together for my mama belle.
I praise you because dem suppose fear you; all wetin you dey do dey strange and wonderful. I know am with all my heart.
When my bone dey form, wey e dey join together for my mama belle, when I dey grow for there in secret, you know say I dey there.
You see me before dem born me. The days wey you set for me don dey inside your record book, before dem even start to dey happen.
O God, he dey difficult to know wetin you dey think; dem plenty!
If I count them, e go plenty pass grain of sand. When I wake, I still dey with you.
O God, I wish say you go kill the wicked! I just dey wish say violent people go leave me alone;
Dem dey talk wicked things about you; dem speak evil things against your name.
O LORD, I hate those wey hate you!
I hate them with total hatred; I dey see them as my enemy.
Check me, O God, and know my mind; test me, and find out wetin I dey think.
Find out if evil dey inside me and guide me for everlasting way.
