1 OLUWA, iwọ ti wadi mi, iwọ si ti mọ̀ mi.
1 O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.
2 Iwọ mọ̀ ijoko mi ati idide mi, iwọ mọ̀ iro mi li ọ̀na jijin rére.
2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
3 Iwọ yi ipa ọ̀na mi ká ati ibulẹ mi, gbogbo ọ̀na mi si di mimọ̀ fun ọ.
3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
4 Nitori ti kò si ọ̀rọ kan li ahọn mi, kiyesi i, Oluwa, iwọ mọ̀ ọ patapata.
4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
5 Iwọ sé mi mọ lẹhin ati niwaju, iwọ si fi ọwọ rẹ le mi.
5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
6 Iru ìmọ yi ṣe ohun iyanu fun mi jù; o ga, emi kò le mọ̀ ọ.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
7 Nibo li emi o gbe lọ kuro lọwọ ẹmi rẹ? tabi nibo li emi o sárè kuro niwaju rẹ?
7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 Bi emi ba gòke lọ si ọrun, iwọ wà nibẹ: bi emi ba si tẹ́ ẹni mi ni ipò okú, kiyesi i, iwọ wà nibẹ.
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9 Emi iba mu iyẹ-apa owurọ, ki emi si lọ joko niha opin okun;
9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10 Ani nibẹ na li ọwọ rẹ yio fà mi, ọwọ ọtún rẹ yio si dì mi mu.
10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11 Bi mo ba wipe, Njẹ ki òkunkun ki o bò mi mọlẹ; ki imọlẹ ki o di oru yi mi ka.
11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
12 Nitõtọ òkunkun kì iṣu lọdọ rẹ; ṣugbọn oru tàn imọlẹ bi ọsan: ati òkunkun ati ọsan, mejeji bakanna ni fun ọ.
12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
13 Nitori iwọ li o dá ọkàn mi: iwọ li o bò mi mọlẹ ni inu iya mi.
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 Emi o yìn ọ; nitori tẹ̀ru-tẹ̀ru ati tiyanu-tiyanu li a dá mi: iyanu ni iṣẹ rẹ; eyinì li ọkàn mi si mọ̀ dajudaju.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 Ẹda ara mi kò pamọ kuro lọdọ rẹ, nigbati a da mi ni ìkọkọ, ti a si nṣiṣẹ mi li àrabara niha isalẹ ilẹ aiye.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Oju rẹ ti ri ohun ara mi ti o wà laipé: a ti ninu iwe rẹ ni a ti kọ gbogbo wọn si, li ojojumọ li a nda wọn, nigbati ọkan wọn kò ti isi.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
17 Ọlọrun, ìro inu rẹ ti ṣe iye-biye to fun mi, iye wọn ti pọ̀ to!
17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
18 Emi iba kà wọn, nwọn jù iyanrin lọ ni iye: nigbati mo ba jí, emi wà lọdọ rẹ sibẹ.
18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
19 Ọlọrun iba jẹ pa enia buburu nitõtọ: nitorina kuro lọdọ mi ẹnyin ọkunrin ẹ̀jẹ.
19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
20 Ẹniti nfi inu buburu sọ̀rọ si ọ, awọn ọta rẹ npè orukọ rẹ li asan!
20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.
21 Oluwa, njẹ emi kò korira awọn ti o korira rẹ? njẹ inu mi kò ha si bajẹ si awọn ti o dide si ọ?
21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
22 Emi korira wọn li àkotan: emi kà wọn si ọta mi.
22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
23 Ọlọrun, wadi mi, ki o si mọ̀ aiya mi: dán mi wò, ki o si mọ̀ ìro-inu mi:
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 Ki o si wò bi ipa-ọ̀na buburu kan ba wà ninu mi, ki o si fi ẹsẹ mi le ọ̀na ainipẹkun.
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
