Proverbs 21
1 God dey control the mind of a king easily like say he dey direct the way of a stream.
2 You fit think say na the right thing be everything wey you dey do, but make you remember say God dey judge why you dey do am.
3 Do wetin dey right and fair; na that dey please God pass make you dey bring him sacrifice.
4 Na pride and arrogance dey control wicked people, and na sin be this.
5 Plan well and carefully and you go get plenty; if you dey act too quick, you no go ever get enough.
6 The riches wey you get for wrong way go soon disappear, but no be before dem lead you to the mouth of death.
7 The wicked don enter trouble of their own violence; dem no dey gree to do the right thing.
8 Guilty people dey waka for evil path; the innocent dey do the right thing.
9 E better make you dey live on top the roof pass make you dey share house with wife wey dey complain.
10 Wicked people dey always hungry for evil; dem no get mercy for anyone.
11 When someone wey dey wicked don get him punishment, even person wey no dey think dey learn lesson. The one wey wise go learn from wetin dem don teach him.
12 God, the one wey dey righteous, you know wetin dey happen for the home of the wicked, and he go bring the wicked down to destruction.
13 If you no gree listen to cry of the poor, people no go hear your own cry for help.
14 If someone dey vex with you, gift wey you give am for secret go calm him down.
15 When dem do justice, good people dey happy, but evil people dey fear.
16 Death dey wait for anyone wey waka away from good sense.
17 To dey love luxury, wine, and food wey dey rich no go ever make you dey wealthy.
18 Wicked people dey bring suffering wey dem try cause good people on top themselves.
19 E better make you dey live out for desert pass make you dey live with woman wey dey worry and complain.
20 Wise people dey live in wealth and luxury, but stupid people dey spend their money fast as dem get am.
21 Make you dey kind and honest and you go live a long life; others go respect you and dem go treat you good.
22 A wise general fit take a city wey strong men defend am, and destroy the city wey dem rely on.
23 If you wan stay out of trouble, make you dey careful with wetin you talk.
24 Show me selfish person and I go show you someone wey get strong-head, wey proud, and wey no dey kind.
25 Lazy people wey no gree work dey only kill themselves;
26 All dem dey think about na wetin dem go like get. But the righteous fit give, and give generously.
27 God hate am when wicked people dey offer sacrifice to him, especially if the reason why dem do am na evil.
28 People no dey believe the testimony of a liar, but dem dey accept the word of someone wey dey think matter well.
29 Righteous people dey sure of themselves; the wicked go need to pretend as best dem fit do.
30 Human wisdom, knowledge, understanding - dem no fit help you if God dey against you.
31 You fit get horse ready for battle, but na God dey give victory.
