Micah 4

¹ Very soon, the mountain where the Temple dey go high pass others, tall pass other hills. Many nation go come flow to am like river,

² And their people go say, “Make we go on top the mountains of God, to the temple of God of Israel. He go teach us wetin he wan make we do; and we go follow him way. Because na Jerusalem teaching of God dey come from; and he dey speak to him people from Zion”.

³ He go settle fight wey dey among nations, and among great powers wey dey far and near. Dem go stop to dey use their weapon for war. Dem go hammer their swords for farm work and their spears to knives wey dem go dey use cut trees. Nations no go dey go war again, and no go dey prepare for battle again.

⁴ Almighty God don promise say, everybody go dey live in peace for him own vineyards and fig trees, and no one go make him fear.

⁵ Each nations dey worship her own god,

⁶ but we go worship and obey the LORD our God for ever and ever.

⁶ God say, “The time dey come, when I go gather people wey I don punish together, those wey don suffer for strange land.

⁷ Dem don turn cripple and dem far from home, but I go make a new beginning with those wey remain, and dem go become great nation. I go rule over them on Mount Zion from that time and for ever.” And you, Jerusalem, where God dey watch over him people like shepherd, una go again be capital of kingdom wey be una own.

⁹ Why una dey cry out loud? Why una dey suffer like woman wey dey labour room? Shey na because una no get king and una counsellors don die?

¹⁰ Cry out, una people of Jerusalem, and feel the pain like a woman wey dey born pikin, for now una must commot for the city go live for open field. Una go need go Babylonia, but God go save una from una enemies for there.

¹¹ Plenty nations don gather to attack una. Dem say, “We go destroy Jerusalem! We go destroy this city!”

¹² But this nation no know wetin God get for mind. Dem no know say, he don gather them together to punish them the same way dem dey punish corn for the floor wey dem dey separate am.

¹³ God talk say, “People of Jerusalem, make una go punish una enemies! I go make una strong like bull with iron horns and bronze feet. Una go destroy many nations, and una go present the wealth wey una get from war to me, God of the whole world.”
