Job 2

¹ When time reach for angel to show before the LORD again, Satan dey among them.

² God ask him say, “Where you don dey? Satan answer, “I don dey waka here and there, waka round the earth.”

³ God ask him say, “Shey you notice my servant Job? Nobody dey for earth wey dey faithful and good as he dey. He dey worship me and he dey careful not to dey do evil. You been make me allow you attack him for no reason at all, but Job still dey faithful.’’

⁴ Satan reply say, “Person go give up everything to stay alive.

⁵ But suppose say you wound him body - him go curse you for your face”

⁶ Naso God tell Satan say, “Alright, he dey for your power, but make you no kill him.”

⁷ Then Satan commot for where God dey and he put wound for Job body.

⁸ Job go siddon for where dem dey throway dirty and him take pot wey don break and use am clear him wound.

⁹ Him wife tell am say. “You still dey faithful like before? Why you no curse God and die?’’

¹⁰ Job answer am, “Na nonsense you dey talk! When God send better thing, we dey accept am. How we go complain when he send us trouble?” On top all the suffer Job no talk anything against God.

¹¹ Three friend wey Job get na Eliphaz, from Teman city, Bildad from Shuah, and Zophar from Naamah. When dem hear how Job don dey suffer, dem decide make dem go comfort am.

¹² When dem still dey far away, dem see Job, but dem no fit recognize him. When dem see him, dem begin dey cry, and dem tear their cloth and begin dey throw dust for air and on top their head.

¹³ Dem con siddon there for ground with him for seven days and night and dem no talk anything , because dem see how him dey suffer.
