Jeremiah 52

¹ Zedekiah na 21 years old when he become king of Judah, and he rule in Jerusalem for eleven years. Him mother name na Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah wey dey live for the city of Libnah.

³ God con vex with the people of Jerusalem and Judah so tey he chase them commot from him presence. Zedekaih don rebel against king Nebuchanezzar of Babylonia,

⁴ Naso Nebuchadnezzar come with all him army and attack Jerusalem on the tenth day of the tenth month of the ninth year wey Zedekiah be king. Dem set up camp outside the city, dem build boundary walls round am,

⁵ And dem keep am under seige until eleventh year of Zedekiah.

⁶ On the ninth day of the fourth month of the same year, when hunger dey bad so tey people no get anything to eat again,

⁷ Dem break through the city wall. Although Babylonians dey surround the city, all the soldiers escape for night. Dem follow the royal garden way commot, dem commot through the gate wey dey connect the two walls, and dem run away in the direction of the Jordan Valley.

⁸ But army of Babylonia pursue king Zedekiah, and capture him for lowland near Jericho, and all him soldier leave him.

⁹ Dem take Zedekiah go meet king Nebuchadnezzar, wey dey the city of Riblah for the territory of Hamath, and Nebuchadnezzar pass sentence on top him for there.

¹² On the tenth day of the fifth month of the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia, Nebuzaradan, wey be adviser to the king and commander of him army, enter Jerusalem.

¹³ He burn down the Temple, the palace, and house of all important people in Jerusalem,

¹⁸ Dem also take away the shovel and ash container wey dem dey use clean the altar, the tools wey dem dey use hang the lamp, the bowls wey dem dey use for catching the blood from sacrifice, the bowls wey dem dey use burn incense, and all other bronze things wey dem dey use inside Temple.

¹⁹ Dem take away everything wey dem make with gold or silver: the small bowl, the pan wey dem dey use carry live coal, the bowl wey dem dey use hold the blood from the sacrifice, the ash container, the lampstand, the bowl wey dem dey use for incense, and the bowls wey dem dey use pour out wine offering.

²⁰ The bronze object wey King Solomon don make for the Temple- the two pillars, the wagon, the large tank, and the twelve bull wey support am- dey too heavy to weigh.

³¹ In the year wey Evilmerodach become king of Babylonia, he dey nice to King Jehoiachin of Judah and he release him from prison. This thing happen on the 25th day of the twelfth month of the 37th year after dem don take away Jehoiachin as prisioner.

³² Evilmerodach treat him well and give him position of honour wey great pass the one wey he give other kings wey be foreigners with him in Babylonia.

³³ So dem allow Jehoiachin make he change from him prison clothes and make he chop at the king table for rest of him life.
