Isaiah 39

¹ Around this time, king of Babylonia, Merodach Baladan, son of Baladan, hear say king Hezekiah don sick, so he con send him letter and gift.

² Hezekiah con welcome the messenger and show them him wealth - him silver and gold, him spices and perfume, and all him military equipments. Nothing dey for him storeroom or anywhere for him king wey he no show them.

³ Then prophet Isaiah con go meet king Hezekiah and ask him say, “Where dem come from and wetin dem tell you?”

⁴ Hezekiah answer say, “ na from far country Babylonia them come from.” “dem see everything. Nothing dey for in side the storeroom wey I no show them.”

⁵ Isaiah con tell the king say, “The Almighty God talk say

⁶ A time dey come when Babylonia go come carry everything wey dey your palace, everything wey una ancestors don store up till this day, dem go carry them commot ,nothing go remain,

⁷ them go take your own sons, and your son go dey serve for palace of Babylonia king.

⁸ King Hezekiah understand this to mean say peace and security go dey during him lifetime, so he con reply say, “The message wey you don give me from God dey good.”
