Hosea 1
1 Na this be the message wey God give Hosea son of Beeri for the time wey Uzzia, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah be kings for Judah, wey Jeroboam son of Jehoash be king for Israel.
2 When God first use Hosea talk to Israel, God tell Hosea, make he go marry; your wife no go dey faithful to you and your children go be like her. Just as my people don leave me and dem no dey faithful to me .
3 Na so Hosea marry woman wey her name be Gomer, wey be daughter Diblaim. After dem born their first child wey be boy,
4 God tell Hosea say, make he name am "Jezreel", because e no go tey wey I go punish king of Israel for wetin him ancestor Jehu don do Jezreel. I go end Jehu royal family.
5 na that time I go destroy Israel military power for the valley of Jezreel.
6 Gomer get second child but this time na female, God tell Hosea, Name am Unloved, because I no go love people of Israel or forgive dem again.
7 but I go love people of Judah. Me wey be their Lord God go save dem ,and I no go use war do am-I no go use swords or bows and arrows or even horse or horsemen.
8 After Gomer don care for Unloved finish, She get belle again
9 God say name am "No be my people", because people of Israel no be my people, and I no be their God.
10 people of Israel go be like sand wey dey sea wey people no fit count or measure. Now God tell dem say, una no be my people , but day dey come when he go tell dem , una be children of the living God.
11 people of Judah and people of Israel go come together again. Dem go give themselves one leader, and dem go grow and prosper again for their land, na so day of Jezreel go be great day.
