Ezekiel 5

¹ God talk say, "Son of man, take a sharp sword and use am shave your beard and all your hair. Then weigh the hair for scale and divide am into three part.

² Burn one-third for the city when the attack don finish. Take another one-third and cut am with your sword as you move about outside the city. Scatter the remain third for wind, and I go pursue am with sword.

³ Keep small hair and wrap them for the tip of your clothes.

⁴ Then take out small again and throw them inside fire, and allow them burn. From that fire go spread go nation of Israel."

⁵ Almighty God talk say, "Look at Jerusalem. I put am for centre of the world, with all other country round am.

⁶ But Jerusalem no dey obey my command and show say dem wicked pass other nations, disobey pass other country wey dey around am. Jerusalem reject my command and no gree keep my laws.

⁷ Now listen, Jerusalem to wetin I, Almighty God, dey say. As you no dey obey my laws or keep my commands, you don cause plenty trouble pass nation wey dey around you. You don follow the way of other nation.

⁸ And so I, Almighty God, dey tell you say I be your enemy. I go pass judgement on you where all nations go see am.

⁹ Because of the things wey I hate wey una dey do, I go punish Jerusalem the way I never do before and never do again.

¹⁰ Because of this, parents for Jerusalem go chop their children, and children go chop their parents. I go punish and scatter those wey remain alive for all direction.

¹¹ "Therefore, as I be the living God -na word of Almighty God be this " Because una don make my Temple unholy with all evil, and unclean thing wey una don do, I go kill una without mercy.

¹² One-third of una people go die from sickness and hunger for the city; dem go cut down one-third with sword outside the city; and I go scatter the last third to winds and I go pursue am with sword.

¹³ "Una go feel all the forces of my anger until I don satisfy. When all this happen, una go know say I, the LORD, don speak to una because I dey vex say una no dey faithful.

¹⁴ All those nation wey dey around una, wey dey pass by go make fun of una and dem go keep their distance.

¹⁵ "When I dey vex with una and punish una, all the nation wey dey around una go fear. Dem go look at una with disgust and make fun of una.

¹⁶ I go cut off una food supply and make hunger wire una. Una go feel the pain of hunger like sharp arrow wey dem send make e destroy una.

¹⁷ I go send hunger and terrible animals make dem kill una children, and I go send sickness, trouble, war make dem kill una. I, the LORD, don talk."
