1 Moses say, "Israel, hear me! Una go soon cross Jordan River to force out the nation wey dey live for there. Dem dey powerful pass una, and the walls wey round there city reach sky.
2 Some of these nations na descendants of Anakim. Una know how tall and strong dem be, and una don hear say nobody fit defeat them for battle.
3 But the LORD una God don promise to go before una, like fire wey dey burn everything wey come hin way. So when una attack una enemies, e go dey easy for una to destroy them and take their land.
4-
6 After God help una wipe out these nations and take their land, make una no think say he do am because una be good people. Una no good " una stubborn! No, God go help una, because the nation wey dey there na evil, and because he wan keep the promise wey he make to una ancestor Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
7 Make una no forget how una rebel and dey make God vex for the time una dey inside desert. Una rebel from the day una leave Egypt till the day una reach here.
8 For Mount Sinai, una make God vex so tey he wan destroy una.
9-
11 E happen during the 40 days and nights wey I no dey the mountain, without food or drink. Na him tell me make I come up there so that he fit give me the agreement he make with us. And the agreement na the same Ten Commandment wey he don announce to una wen he follow una talk from fire on top mountain. God don write them on top two flat stones with him own hand. But after he don give me the two stones,
12 he say, "Moses, run go down the mountain to the people wey you lead out of Egypt. Dem don already disobey me and commit terrible sin of making idol.
13 I don dey watch Israelites and I don see how stubborn dem be.
14 So, no try stop me! I go wipe them out and no one on earth go remember say dem ever live. Then I go allow your descendants become bigger and more powerful nation pass Israel."
15 Moses say, "Fire still dey burn for mountain top as I go back down, I dey carry the two stones with the commandment on them.
16 I see how una don quickly sin and disobey the LORD una God. Na there una dey worship idol wey una don make in shape of a calf.
17 Naso I throw down the two stones and break them for una eyes.
18-
20 I bow down for place of worship and pray to God, without eating or drinking for
40 days and nights. Una don commit terrible sin as una make that idol, and God hate wetin una don do. He vex so tey he wan destroy all of una and Aaron too. Naso I pray for una and Aaron as I don do before, and God answer my prayers.
21 Na sin e be for una to make that idol, naso I throw am into fire and melt am down. Then I take the gold, grind am into powder, and throw the powder inside stream wey dey flow down the mountain.
22 Una also make God vex when una dey stay for Taberah, for Massah, and for Kibroth-Hattaavah.
23 Then for Kadesh-Barnea, God say, "I dey give una the land, so make una go take am!" But since una no trust God, una rebel and disobey him command.
24 In fact, una don dey rebel against God since he don know una.
25 After una don make idol for shape of calf, God say he go destroy una. Naso I bow down my face for front of God for 40 days and nights,
26 and pray: Our LORD, abeg no wipe out your people. Na you use your great power rescue them from Egypt and make them your own.
27 Israel ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob obey you. Think of them, not Israelites stubbornness, evil, and sin.
28 If you destroy your people, the Egyptians go say, "God promise say he go give Israelites land, but he no get enough power to keep him promise. In fact, he hate them so tey, he take them enter desert and kill them."
29 But you, our LORD, choose people of Israel to be your own, and you rescue them from Egypt with your mighty power.
