1 GBỌ́, Israeli: iwọ o gòke Jordani li oni, lati wọle lọ ìgba awọn orilẹ-ède ti o tobi ti o si lagbara jù ọ lọ, ilu ti o tobi, ti a mọdi rẹ̀ kàn ọrun,
1 Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,
2 Awọn enia ti o tobi ti o si sigbọnlẹ, awọn ọmọ Anaki, ti iwọ mọ̀, ti iwọ si gburó pe, Tali o le duro niwaju awọn ọmọ Anaki?
2 A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!
3 Iwọ o si mọ̀ li oni pe, OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ on ni ngòke ṣaju rẹ lọ bi iná ajonirun; yio pa wọn run, on o si rẹ̀ wọn silẹ niwaju rẹ: iwọ o si lé wọn jade, iwọ o si pa wọn run kánkán, bi OLUWA ti wi fun ọ.
3 Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
4 Máṣe sọ li ọkàn rẹ, lẹhin igbati OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ ba tì wọn jade kuro niwaju rẹ, wipe, Nitori ododo mi ni OLUWA ṣe mú mi wá lati gbà ilẹ yi: ṣugbọn nitori ìwabuburu awọn orilẹ-ède wọnyi ni OLUWA ṣe lé wọn jade kuro niwaju rẹ.
4 Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.
5 Ki iṣe nitori ododo rẹ, tabi nitori pipé ọkàn rẹ, ni iwọ fi nlọ lati gbà ilẹ wọn: ṣugbọn nitori ìwabuburu awọn orilẹ-ède wọnyi li OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ ṣe lé wọn kuro niwaju rẹ, ati ki o le mu ọ̀rọ na ṣẹ ti OLUWA ti bura fun awọn baba rẹ, Abrahamu, Isaaki, ati Jakobu.
5 Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
6 Nitorina ki o yé ọ pe, OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ kò fi ilẹ rere yi fun ọ lati ní i nitori ododo rẹ; nitoripe enia ọlọrùn lile ni iwọ.
6 Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
7 Ranti, máṣe gbagbé, bi iwọ ti mu OLUWA Ọlọrun rẹ binu li aginjù: lati ọjọ́ na ti iwọ ti jade kuro ni ilẹ Egipti, titi ẹnyin fi dé ihin yi, ẹnyin ti nṣọ̀tẹ si OLUWA.
7 Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.
8 Ati ni Horebu ẹnyin mu OLUWA binu, OLUWA si binu si nyin tobẹ̃ ti o fẹ́ pa nyin run.
8 Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.
9 Nigbati mo gòke lọ sori òke lati gbà walã okuta wọnni, ani walã majẹmu nì ti OLUWA bá nyin dá, nigbana mo gbé ogoji ọsán, ati ogoji oru lori òke na, emi kò jẹ onjẹ, bẹ̃li emi kò mu omi.
9 When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:
10 OLUWA si fi walã okuta meji fun mi, ti a fi ika Ọlọrun kọ; ati lara wọn li a kọ ọ gẹgẹ bi gbogbo ọ̀rọ na, ti OLUWA bá nyin sọ li òke na lati inu ãrin iná wá li ọjọ́ ajọ nì.
10 And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.
11 O si ṣe li opin ogoji ọsán ati ogoji oru, ti OLUWA fi walã okuta meji nì fun mi, ani walã majẹmu nì.
11 And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.
12 OLUWA si wi fun mi pe, Dide, sọkalẹ kánkán lati ihin lọ; nitoriti awọn enia rẹ, ti iwọ mú lati ilẹ Egipti jade wá, ti bà ara wọn jẹ́; nwọn yipada kánkán kuro li ọ̀na ti mo palaṣẹ fun wọn; nwọn ti yá ere didà fun ara wọn.
12 And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.
13 OLUWA sọ fun mi pẹlu pe, Emi ti ri enia yi, si kiyesi i, enia ọlọrùn lile ni:
13 Furthermore the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:
14 Yàgo fun mi, ki emi ki o pa wọn run, ki emi si pa orukọ wọn rẹ́ kuro labẹ ọrun: emi o si sọ iwọ di orilẹ-ède ti o lagbara ti o si pọ̀ jù wọn lọ.
14 Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.
15 Emi si pada, mo si sọkalẹ lati ori òke nì wá, òke na si njóna: walã meji ti majẹmu nì si wà li ọwọ́ mi mejeji.
15 So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.
16 Mo si wò, si kiyesi i, ẹnyin ti ṣẹ̀ si OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin, ẹnyin si ti yá ẹgbọrọ-malu didà fun ara nyin: ẹnyin ti yipada kánkán kuro li ọ̀na ti OLUWA ti palaṣẹ fun nyin.
16 And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.
17 Emi si mú walã meji nì, mo si sọ wọn silẹ kuro li ọwọ́ mi mejeji, mo si fọ́ wọn niwaju nyin.
17 And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.
18 Emi si wolẹ niwaju OLUWA bi ti iṣaju, li ogoji ọsán ati ogoji oru; emi kò jẹ onjẹ, bẹ̃ni emi kò mu omi; nitori gbogbo ẹ̀ṣẹ nyin ti ẹnyin ṣẹ̀, ni ṣiṣe buburu li oju OLUWA, lati mu u binu.
18 And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
19 Nitoriti emi bẹ̀ru ibinu ati irunu OLUWA si nyin lati pa nyin run. OLUWA si gbọ́ ti emi nigbana pẹlu.
19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.
20 OLUWA si binu si Aaroni gidigidi ti iba fi pa a run: emi si gbadura fun Aaroni nigbana pẹlu.
20 And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.
21 Emi si mú ẹ̀ṣẹ nyin, ẹgbọrọ-malu ti ẹnyin ṣe, mo si fi iná sun u, mo si gún u, mo si lọ̀ ọ kúnna, titi o fi dabi ekuru: mo si kó ekuru rẹ̀ lọ idà sinu odò ti o ti òke na ṣànwalẹ.
21 And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount.
22 Ati ni Tabera, ati ni Massa, ati ni Kibrotu-hattaafa, ẹnyin mu OLUWA binu.
22 And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibroth-hattaavah, ye provoked the LORD to wrath.
23 Nigbati OLUWA rán nyin lati Kadeṣi-barnea lọ, wipe, Gòke lọ ki o si gbà ilẹ na ti mo fi fun nyin; nigbana li ẹnyin ṣọ̀tẹ si aṣẹ OLUWA Ọlọrun nyin, ẹnyin kò si gbà a gbọ́, bẹ̃li ẹnyin kò si fetisi ohùn rẹ̀.
23 Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.
24 Ẹnyin ti nṣọ̀tẹ si OLUWA lati ọjọ́ ti mo ti mọ̀ nyin.
24 Ye have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you.
25 Mo si wolẹ niwaju OLUWA li ogoji ọsán ati li ogoji oru, bi mo ti wolẹ niṣaju; nitoriti OLUWA wipe, on o run nyin.
25 Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.
26 Mo si gbadura sọdọ OLUWA wipe, Oluwa ỌLỌRUN, máṣe run awọn enia rẹ ati iní rẹ, ti iwọ ti fi titobi rẹ̀ ràsilẹ, ti iwọ mú lati Egipti jade wá pẹlu ọwọ́ agbara.
26 I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
27 Ranti Abrahamu, Isaaki, ati Jakobu awọn iranṣẹ rẹ; máṣe wò agídi awọn enia yi, tabi ìwabuburu wọn, tabi ẹ̀ṣẹ wọn:
27 Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin:
28 Ki awọn enia ilẹ na ninu eyiti iwọ ti mú wa jade wá ki o má ba wipe, Nitoriti OLUWA kò le mú wọn dé ilẹ na ti o ti ṣe ileri fun wọn, ati nitoriti o korira wọn, li o ṣe mú wọn jade wá lati pa wọn li aginjù.
28 Lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.
29 Ṣugbọn sibẹ̀ enia rẹ ni nwọn iṣe, ati iní rẹ, ti iwọ mú jade nipa agbara nla rẹ, ati nipa ninà apa rẹ.
29 Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.
