Amos 7

¹ I get vision from Almighty God. For the dream I see him create plenty locust after dem don cut the king share of hay and the grass don start to dey grow again.

² For my vision, I see the locust dey chop every green thing wey dey the land, and then I talk say, "Almighty God, forgive your people! How dem fit survive? Dem dey small and weak!"

³ God con change him mind and talk say, "Wetin you don see no go happen."

⁴ I get another vision from Almighty God. For the vision, I see him dey prepare to punish him people with fire. The fire burn the great ocean wey dey under the earth, and start to dey burn the land.

⁵ Then I talk say, "Stop, Almighty God! How your people go fit survive? Dem small and weak!"

⁶ God change him mind again and talk say, "this one too no go happen."

⁷ I get another vision from God. For this vision I see him dey stand beside a wall wey dem build with help of plumb line, and plumb line dey for him hand.

⁸ He ask me say, "Amos, wetin you see?" I answer am say, "I see Plumb line". Then he talk say, "I dey use am show say my people be like wall wey don commot for line. I no go change my mind again say I go punish them.

⁹ The place where Isaac descendant dey worship go destroy. The holy place of Israel go destroy. I go end king Jeroboam family."

¹⁰ Amaziah, wey be priest of Bethel, send report to king Jeroboam of Israel say: "Amos dey plot against you among people. Wetin he dey talk go destroy the country.

¹¹ Na wetin he say be this: "Jeroboam go die for battle, and dem go take people of Israel commot from their land go foreign land.""

¹² Amaziah tell Amos say, "E don do, prophet! Go back to Judah make you go do your preaching for there. Make dem pay you for am.

¹⁴ Amos con answer am say, "I no be the kind prophet wey dey prophesy for pay. Na herdsman I be, and I dey take care of fig tree.
