1 ṢUGBỌN iwọ mã sọ ohun ti o yẹ si ẹkọ́ ti o yè kõro:

1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

2 Ki awọn àgba ọkunrin jẹ ẹni iwọntunwọnsin, ẹni-ọ̀wọ, alairekọja, ẹniti o yè kõro ni igbagbọ́, ni ifẹ, ni sũru.

2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

3 Bẹ̃ gẹgẹ ni ki awọn agba obinrin jẹ ẹni-ọ̀wọ ni iwa, ki nwọn má jẹ asọrọ-ẹni-lẹhin, tabi ọmuti, bikoṣe olukọni ni ohun rere;

3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

4 Ki nwọn ki o le tọ́ awọn ọdọmọbirin lati fẹran awọn ọkọ wọn, lati fẹran awọn ọmọ wọn,

4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

5 Lati jẹ alairekọja, mimọ́, òṣiṣẹ́ nile, ẹni rere, awọn ti ntẹriba fun awọn ọkọ wọn, ki ọrọ Ọlọrun ki o máṣe di isọ̀rọ-òdi si.

5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

6 Bẹ̃ gẹgẹ ni ki o gbà awọn ọdọmọkunrin niyanju lati jẹ alairekọja.

6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

7 Ninu ohun gbogbo mã fi ara rẹ hàn li apẹrẹ iṣẹ rere: ninu ẹkọ́ mã fi aiṣebajẹ hàn, ìwa àgba,

7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

8 Ọ̀rọ ti o yè kõro, ti a kò le da lẹbi; ki oju ki o tì ẹniti o nṣòdi, li aini ohun buburu kan lati wi si wa.

8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

9 Gbà awọn ọmọ-ọdọ niyanju lati mã tẹriba fun awọn oluwa wọn, ki nwọn ki o mã ṣe ohun ti o wu wọn ninu ohun gbogbo; ki nwọn ki o má gbó wọn lohùn;

9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;

10 Ki nwọn ki o máṣe irẹjẹ, ṣugbọn ki nwọn ki o mã fi iwa otitọ rere gbogbo han; ki nwọn ki o le mã ṣe ẹkọ́ Ọlọrun Olugbala wa li ọṣọ́ ninu ohun gbogbo.

10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

11 Nitori ore-ọfẹ Ọlọrun ti nmu igbala fun gbogbo enia wá ti farahan,

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12 O nkọ́ wa pe, ki a sẹ́ aiwa-bi-Ọlọrun ati ifẹkufẹ aiye, ki a si mã wà li airekọja, li ododo, ati ni ìwa-bi-Ọlọrun ni aiye isisiyi;

12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

13 Ki a mã wo ọna fun ireti ti o ni ibukún ati ifarahan ogo Ọlọrun wa ti o tobi, ati ti Olugbala wa Jesu Kristi;

13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

14 Ẹniti o fi ara rẹ̀ fun wa, ki on ki o le rà wa pada kuro ninu ẹ̀ṣẹ gbogbo, ki o si le wẹ awọn enia kan mọ́ fun ara rẹ̀ fun ini on tíkararẹ awọn onitara iṣẹ rere.

14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

15 Nkan wọnyi ni ki iwọ ki o mã sọ, ki o si ma gbà-ni-niyanju, ki o si mã fi aṣẹ gbogbo ba-ni-wi. Máṣe jẹ ki ẹnikẹni ki o gàn ọ.

15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
