1 NJẸ bi a si ti nda wa lare nipa igbagbọ́, awa ni alafia lọdọ Ọlọrun nipa Oluwa wa Jesu Kristi:

1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 Nipasẹ ẹniti awa si ti ri ọ̀na gbà nipa igbagbọ́ si inu ore-ọfẹ yi ninu eyi ti awa gbé duro, awa si nyọ̀ ni ireti ogo Ọlọrun.

2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3 Kì si iṣe bẹ̃ nikan, ṣugbọn awa si nṣogo ninu wahalà pẹlu: bi a ti mọ̀ pe wahalà nṣiṣẹ sũru;

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4 Ati sũru nṣiṣẹ iriri; ati iriri ni nṣiṣẹ ireti:

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5 Ireti kì si idojuti ni; nitori a ti tan ifẹ Ọlọrun ká wa lọ́kàn lati ọdọ Ẹmí Mimọ́ wá ti a fifun wa.

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

6 Nitori igbati awa jẹ alailera, li akokò ti o yẹ, Kristi kú fun awa alaiwa-bi-Ọlọrun.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7 Nitori o ṣọ̀wọn ki ẹnikan ki o to kú fun olododo: ṣugbọn fun enia rere boya ẹlomiran tilẹ le dába ati kú.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 Ṣugbọn Ọlọrun fi ifẹ On papa si wa hàn ni eyi pe, nigbati awa jẹ ẹlẹṣẹ, Kristi kú fun wa.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Melomelo si ni, ti a da wa lare nisisiyi nipa ẹ̀jẹ rẹ̀, li a o gbà wa là kuro ninu ibinu nipasẹ rẹ̀.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 Njẹ bi, nigbati awa wà li ọtá, a mu wa ba Ọlọrun làja nipa ikú Ọmọ rẹ̀, melomelo, nigbati a là wa ni ìja tan, li a o gbà wa là nipa ìye rẹ̀.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

11 Kì si iṣe bẹ̃ nikan, ṣugbọn awa nṣogo ninu Ọlọrun nipa Oluwa wa Jesu Kristi, nipasẹ ẹniti awa ti ri ìlaja gbà nisisiyi.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

12 Nitori gẹgẹ bi ẹ̀ṣẹ ti ti ipa ọdọ enia kan wọ̀ aiye, ati ikú nipa ẹ̀ṣẹ; bẹ̃ni ikú si kọja sori enia gbogbo, lati ọdọ ẹniti gbogbo enia ti dẹṣẹ̀:

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

13 Nitori ki ofin ki o to de, ẹ̀ṣẹ ti wà li aiye; ṣugbọn a kò kà ẹ̀ṣẹ si ni lọrun nigbati ofin kò si.

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

14 Ṣugbọn ikú jọba lati igbà Adamu wá titi fi di igba ti Mose, ati lori awọn ti kò ṣẹ̀ bi afarawe irekọja Adamu, ẹniti iṣe apẹrẹ ẹniti mbọ̀.

14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

15 Ṣugbọn kì iṣe bi ẹ̀ṣẹ bẹ̃ si li ẹ̀bun ọfẹ. Nitori bi nipa ẹ̀ṣẹ ẹnikan, ẹni pupọ kú, melomelo li ore-ọfẹ Ọlọrun, ati ẹ̀bun ninu ore-ọfẹ ọkunrin kan, Jesu Kristi, di pupọ fun ẹni pupọ.

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16 Kì isi ṣe bi nipa ẹnikan ti o ṣẹ̀, li ẹ̀bun na: nitori idajọ ti ipasẹ ẹnikan wá fun idalẹbi ṣugbọn ẹ̀bun ọfẹ ti inu ẹ̀ṣẹ pupọ wá fun idalare.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 Njẹ bi nipa ẹ̀ṣẹ ọkunrin kan ikú jọba nipasẹ ẹnikanna; melomelo li awọn ti ngbà ọ̀pọlọpọ ore-ọfẹ ati ẹ̀bun ododo yio jọba ninu ìye nipasẹ ẹnikan, Jesu Kristi.

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Njẹ bi nipa ẹ̀ṣẹ kan idajọ de bá gbogbo enia si idalẹbi; gẹgẹ bẹ̃ni nipa iwa ododo kan, ẹ̀bun ọfẹ de sori gbogbo enia fun idalare si ìye.

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 Nitori gẹgẹ bi nipa aigbọran enia kan, enia pupọ di ẹlẹṣẹ bẹ̃ ni nipa igbọran ẹnikan, a o sọ enia pupọ di olododo.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20 Ṣugbọn ofin bọ si inu rẹ̀, ki ẹ̀ṣẹ le di pupọ. Ṣugbọn nibiti ẹ̀ṣẹ di pupọ, ore-ọfẹ di pupọ rekọja,

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 Pe, gẹgẹ bi ẹ̀ṣẹ ti jọba nipa ikú, bẹni ki ore-ọfẹ si le jọba nipa ododo titi ìye ainipẹkun nipasẹ Jesu Kristi Oluwa wa.

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
