1 NITÕTỌ Ọlọrun ṣeun fun Israeli, fun iru awọn ti iṣe alaiya mimọ́.
1 Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
2 Ṣugbọn bi o ṣe ti emi ni, ẹsẹ mi fẹrẹ yẹ̀ tan; ìrin mi fẹrẹ yọ́ tan.
2 But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
3 Nitori ti emi ṣe ilara si awọn aṣe-fefe, nigbati mo ri alafia awọn enia buburu.
3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4 Nitoriti kò si irora ninu ikú wọn: agbara wọn si pọ̀.
4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.
5 Nwọn kò ni ipin ninu iyọnu enia; bẹ̃ni a kò si wahala wọn pẹlu ẹlomiran.
5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
6 Nitorina ni igberaga ṣe ká wọn lọrun bi ẹ̀wọn ọṣọ́; ìwa-ipa bò wọn mọlẹ bi aṣọ.
6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
7 Oju wọn yọ jade fun isanra: nwọn ní jù bi ọkàn wọn ti nfẹ lọ.
7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
8 Nwọn nṣẹsin, nwọn si nsọ̀rọ buburu niti inilara: nwọn nsọ̀rọ lati ibi giga.
8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
9 Nwọn gbé ẹnu wọn le ọrun, ahọn wọn si nrìn ilẹ já.
9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
10 Nitorina li awọn enia rẹ̀ ṣe yipada si ihin: ọ̀pọlọpọ omi li a si npọn jade fun wọn.
10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
11 Nwọn si wipe, Ọlọrun ti ṣe mọ̀? ìmọ ha wà ninu Ọga-ogo?
11 And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
12 Kiyesi i, awọn wọnyi li alaìwa-bi-ọlọrun, ẹniti aiye nsan, nwọn npọ̀ li ọrọ̀.
12 Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
13 Nitõtọ li asan ni mo wẹ̀ aiya mi mọ́, ti mo si wẹ̀ ọwọ mi li ailẹ̀ṣẹ.
13 Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.
14 Nitoripe ni gbogbo ọjọ li a nyọ mi lẹnu, a si nnà mi li orowurọ.
14 For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
15 Bi emi ba pe, emi o fọ̀ bayi: kiyesi i, emi o ṣẹ̀ si iran awọn ọmọ rẹ.
15 If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
16 Nigbati mo rò lati mọ̀ eyi, o ṣoro li oju mi.
16 When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
17 Titi mo fi lọ sinu ibi-mimọ́ Ọlọrun; nigbana ni mo mọ̀ igbẹhin wọn.
17 Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
18 Nitõtọ iwọ gbé wọn ka ibi yiyọ́: iwọ tì wọn ṣubu sinu iparun.
18 Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
19 Bawo li a ti mu wọn lọ sinu idahoro yi, bi ẹnipe ni iṣẹju kan! ibẹru li a fi nrun wọn patapata.
19 How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
20 Bi igbati ẹnikan ba ji li oju alá; bẹ̃ni Oluwa, nigbati iwọ ba ji, iwọ o ṣe àbuku àworan wọn.
20 As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
21 Bayi ni inu mi bajẹ, ẹgún si gun mi li ọkàn mi.
21 Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
22 Bẹ̃ni mo ṣiwere, ti emi kò si mọ̀ nkan; mo dabi ẹranko niwaju rẹ.
22 So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.
23 Ṣugbọn emi wà pẹlu rẹ nigbagbogbo: iwọ li o ti di ọwọ ọtún mi mu.
23 Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.
24 Iwọ o fi ìmọ rẹ tọ́ mi li ọ̀na, ati nigbẹhin iwọ o gbà mi sinu ogo.
24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
25 Tani mo ni li ọrun bikoṣe iwọ? kò si si ohun ti mo fẹ li aiye pẹlu rẹ.
25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
26 Ẹran-ara mi ati aiya mi di ãrẹ̀ tan: ṣugbọn Ọlọrun ni apata aiya mi, ati ipin mi lailai.
26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
27 Sa wò o, awọn ti o jina si ọ yio ṣegbe: iwọ ti pa gbogbo wọn run ti nṣe àgbere kiri kuro lọdọ rẹ.
27 For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
28 Ṣugbọn o dara fun mi lati sunmọ Ọlọrun: emi ti gbẹkẹ mi le Oluwa Ọlọrun, ki emi ki o le ma sọ̀rọ iṣẹ rẹ gbogbo.
28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
