¹ ỌLỌRUN, iwọ li Ọlọrun mi; ni kutukutu li emi o ma ṣafẹri rẹ; ongbẹ rẹ ngbẹ ọkàn mi, ẹran-ara mi fà si ọ ni ilẹ gbigbẹ, ati ilẹ ti npongbẹ, nibiti omi kò gbe si.

¹ O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

² Bayi li emi ti wò ọ ninu ibi-mimọ́, lati ri agbara rẹ ati ogo rẹ.

² To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

³ Nitori ti iṣeun-ifẹ rẹ san jù ìye lọ, ète mi yio ma yìn ọ.

³ Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

⁴ Bayi li emi o ma fi ibukún fun ọ niwọnbi mo ti wà lãye: emi o ma gbé ọwọ mi soke li orukọ rẹ.

⁴ Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

⁵ Bi ẹnipe ijà ati ọ̀ra bẹ̃ni yio tẹ ọkàn mi lọrun; ẹnu mi yio si ma fi ète ayọ̀ yìn ọ:

⁵ My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

⁶ Nigbati mo ba ranti rẹ lori ẹní mi, ti emi si nṣe aṣaro rẹ ni iṣọ oru.

⁶ When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

⁷ Nitoripe iwọ li o ti nṣe iranlọwọ mi, nitorina li ojiji iyẹ́-apa rẹ li emi o ma yọ̀.

⁷ Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

⁸ Ọkàn mi ntọ̀ ọ lẹhin girigiri: ọwọ ọtún rẹ li o gbé mi ró.

⁸ My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

⁹ Ṣugbọn awọn ti nwá ọkàn mi lati pa a run, nwọn o lọ si iha isalẹ-ilẹ.

⁹ But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

¹⁰ Nwọn o ti ọwọ idà ṣubu: nwọn o si ṣe ijẹ fun kọ̀lọkọlọ.

¹⁰ They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

¹¹ Ṣugbọn ọba yio ma yọ̀ ninu Ọlọrun; olukuluku ẹniti o nfi i bura ni yio ṣogo: ṣugbọn awọn ti nṣeke li a o pa li ẹnu mọ́.

¹¹ But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
