1 ỌLỌRUN, gbohùn mi ninu aroye mi: pa ẹmi mi mọ́ lọwọ ẹ̀ru ọta nì.

1 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

2 Pa mi mọ́ lọwọ ìmọ ìkọkọ awọn enia buburu: lọwọ irukerudo awọn oniṣẹ-ẹ̀ṣẹ.

2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:

3 Ẹniti npọ̀n ahọn wọn bi ẹnipe idà, ti nwọn si fa ọrun wọn le lati tafa wọn, ani ọ̀rọ kikoro:

3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:

4 Ki nwọn ki o le ma tafà ni ìkọkọ si awọn ti o pé: lojiji ni nwọn tafa si i, nwọn kò si bẹ̀ru.

4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

5 Nwọn gba ara wọn niyanju li ọ̀ran buburu: nwọn gbìmọ ati dẹkun silẹ nikọ̀kọ; nwọn wipe, Tani yio ri wọn?

5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?

6 Nwọn gbero ẹ̀ṣẹ; nwọn wipe, awa ti pari ero ti a gbà tan: ati ìro inu olukuluku wọn, ati aiya wọn, o jinlẹ.

6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.

7 Ṣugbọn Ọlọrun yio tafà si wọn lojiji; nwọn o si gbọgbẹ.

7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.

8 Bẹ̃ni ahọn wọn yio mu wọn ṣubu lu ara wọn: gbogbo ẹniti o ri wọn yio mì ori wọn.

8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

9 Ati gbogbo enia ni yio ma bẹ̀ru, nwọn o si ma sọ̀rọ iṣẹ Ọlọrun; nitoriti nwọn o fi ọgbọ́n rò iṣẹ rẹ̀.

9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

10 Olododo yio ma yọ̀ nipa ti Oluwa, yio si ma gbẹkẹle e; ati gbogbo ẹni-iduro-ṣinṣin li aiya ni yio ma ṣogo.

10 The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
