¹ FETI si adura mi, Ọlọrun; má si ṣe fi ara rẹ pamọ kuro ninu ẹ̀bẹ mi.

¹ Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.

² Fiye si mi, ki o si da mi lohùn: ara mi kò lelẹ ninu aroye mi, emi si npariwo;

² Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;

³ Nitori ohùn ọta nì, nitori inilara enia buburu: nitoriti nwọn mu ibi ba mi, ati ni ibinu, nwọn dẹkun fun mi.

³ Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.

⁴ Aiya dùn mi gidigidi ninu mi: ipaiya ikú si ṣubu lù mi.

⁴ My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.

⁵ Ibẹ̀ru ati ìwárìrì wá si ara mi, ati ibẹ̀ru ikú bò mi mọlẹ.

⁵ Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.

⁶ Emi si wipe, A! iba ṣe pe emi ni iyẹ-apa bi àdaba! emi iba fò lọ, emi a si simi.

⁶ And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.

⁷ Kiyesi i, emi iba rìn lọ si ọ̀na jijin rére, emi a si ma gbe li aginju.

⁷ Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.

⁸ Emi iba yara sa asala mi kuro ninu ẹfufu lile ati iji na.

⁸ I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.

⁹ Oluwa, ṣe iparun, ki o si yà wọn li ahọn: nitori ti mo ri ìwa agbara ati ijà ni ilu na.

⁹ Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.

¹⁰ Ọsan ati oru ni nwọn fi nrìn odi rẹ̀ kiri: ìwa-ika pẹlu ati ikãnu mbẹ li arin rẹ̀.

¹⁰ Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.

¹¹ Ìwa buburu mbẹ li arin rẹ̀: ẹ̀tan ati eke kò kuro ni igboro rẹ̀.

¹¹ Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.

¹² Nitoriti kì iṣe ọta li o gàn mi: njẹ emi iba pa a mọra: bẹ̃ni kì iṣe ẹniti o korira mi li o gbé ara rẹ̀ ga si mi; njẹ emi iba fi ara mi pamọ́ kuro lọdọ rẹ̀:

¹² For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:

¹³ Ṣugbọn iwọ ni, ọkunrin ọ̀gba mi, amọ̀na mi, ati ojulumọ mi.

¹³ But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.

¹⁴ Awa jumọ gbimọ didùn, awa si kẹgbẹ rìn wọ̀ ile Ọlọrun lọ.

¹⁴ We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.

¹⁵ Ki ikú ki o dì wọn mu, ki nwọn ki o si lọ lãye si isa-okú: nitori ti ìwa buburu mbẹ ni ibujoko wọn, ati ninu wọn.

¹⁵ Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.

¹⁶ Bi o ṣe ti emi ni, emi o kepè Ọlọrun; Oluwa yio si gbà mi.

¹⁶ As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.

¹⁷ Li alẹ, li owurọ, ati li ọsan, li emi o ma gbadura, ti emi o si ma kigbe kikan: on o si gbohùn mi.

¹⁷ Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

¹⁸ O ti gbà ọkàn mi silẹ li alafia lọwọ ogun ti o ti dó tì mi: nitoripe pẹlu ọ̀pọlọpọ enia ni nwọn dide si mi.

¹⁸ He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.

¹⁹ Ọlọrun yio gbọ́, yio si pọ́n wọn loju, ani ẹniti o ti joko lati igbani. Nitoriti nwọn kò ni ayipada, nwọn kò si bẹ̀ru Ọlọrun.

¹⁹ God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.

²⁰ O ti nà ọwọ rẹ̀ si iru awọn ti o wà li alafia pẹlu rẹ̀: o ti dà majẹmu rẹ̀.

²⁰ He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.

²¹ Ọ̀rọ ẹnu rẹ̀ kunna jù ori-amọ lọ, ṣugbọn ogun jija li o wà li aiya rẹ̀: ọ̀rọ rẹ̀ kunna jù ororo lọ, ṣugbọn idà fifayọ ni nwọn.

²¹ The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

²² Kó ẹrù rẹ lọ si ara Oluwa, on ni yio si mu ọ duro: on kì yio jẹ ki ẹsẹ olododo ki o yẹ̀ lai.

²² Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

²³ Ṣugbọn iwọ, Ọlọrun, ni yio mu wọn sọkalẹ lọ si iho iparun: awọn enia ẹ̀jẹ ati enia ẹ̀tan kì yio pe àbọ ọjọ wọn; ṣugbọn emi o gbẹkẹle ọ.

²³ But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
