¹ ỌLỌRUN, ṣãnu fun mi: nitoriti enia nfẹ gbe mi mì; o mba mi jà lojojumọ, o nni mi lara.

¹ Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.

² Awọn ọta mi nfẹ igbe mi mì lojojumọ: nitori awọn ti nfi igberaga ba mi ja pọ̀.

² Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.

³ Nigbati ẹ̀ru ba mbà mi, emi o gbẹkẹle ọ.

³ What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

⁴ Nipa Ọlọrun li emi o ma yìn ọ̀rọ rẹ̀, Ọlọrun li emi o gbẹkẹ mi le, emi kì yio bèru: kili ẹran-ara le ṣe si mi.

⁴ In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

⁵ Lojojumọ ni nwọn nlọ́ ọ̀rọ mi: ibi ni gbogbo ìro inu wọn si mi:

⁵ Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.

⁶ Nwọn kó ara wọn jọ, nwọn ba, nwọn kiyesi ìrin mi, nwọn ti nṣọ̀na ọkàn mi.

⁶ They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.

⁷ Nwọn ha le ti ipa aiṣedede là? ni ibinu, bi awọn enia na lulẹ̀, Ọlọrun.

⁷ Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.

⁸ Iwọ nka ìrìnkiri mi: fi omije mi sinu igo rẹ: nwọn ko ha si ninu iwe rẹ bi?

⁸ Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

⁹ Li ọjọ ti mo ba kigbe, nigbana li awọn ọta mi yio pẹhinda: eyi li emi mọ̀: nitoripe Ọlọrun wà fun mi.

⁹ When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

¹⁰ Nipa Ọlọrun li emi o ma yìn ọ̀rọ rẹ̀: nipa Oluwa li emi o ma yìn ọ̀rọ rẹ̀.

¹⁰ In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.

¹¹ Ọlọrun li emi gbẹkẹ mi le, emi kì yio bẹ̀ru kili enia le ṣe si mi.

¹¹ In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

¹² Ẹjẹ́ rẹ mbẹ lara mi, Ọlọrun: emi o fi iyìn fun ọ.

¹² Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.

¹³ Nitoripe iwọ li o ti gbà ọkàn mi lọwọ ikú: iwọ ki yio ha gbà ẹsẹ mi lọwọ iṣubu? ki emi ki o le ma rìn niwaju Ọlọrun ni imọlẹ awọn alãye?

¹³ For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
