1 AIYA mi nhumọ̀ ọ̀ran rere: emi nsọ ohun ti mo ti ṣe, fun ọba ni: kalamu ayawọ akọwe li ahọn mi.

1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

2 Iwọ yanju jù awọn ọmọ enia lọ: a dà ore-ọfẹ si ọ li ète: nitorina li Ọlọrun nbukún fun ọ lailai.

2 Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

3 San idà rẹ mọ idi rẹ, Alagbara julọ, ani ogo rẹ ati ọlá-nla rẹ.

3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

4 Ati ninu ọlánlá rẹ ma gẹṣin lọ li alafia, nitori otitọ ati ìwa-tutu ati ododo; ọwọ ọtún rẹ yio si kọ́ ọ li ohun ẹ̀ru.

4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.

5 Ọfa rẹ mu li aiya awọn ọta ọba; awọn enia nṣubu nisalẹ ẹsẹ rẹ.

5 Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.

6 Ọlọrun, lai ati lailai ni itẹ́ rẹ: ọpá-alade ijọba rẹ, ọpá-alade otitọ ni.

6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

7 Iwọ fẹ ododo, iwọ korira ìwa-buburu: nitori na li Ọlọrun, Ọlọrun rẹ, ṣe fi àmi ororo ayọ̀ yà ọ ṣolori awọn ọ̀gba rẹ.

7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

8 Gbogbo aṣọ rẹ li o nrun turari, ati aloe, ati kassia, lati inu ãfin ehin-erin jade ni nwọn gbe nmu ọ yọ̀.

8 All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.

9 Awọn ọmọbinrin awọn alade wà ninu awọn ayanfẹ rẹ: li ọwọ ọtún rẹ li ayaba na gbe duro ninu wura Ofiri.

9 Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.

10 Dẹti silẹ, ọmọbinrin, si ronu, si dẹ eti rẹ silẹ! gbagbe awọn enia rẹ, ati ile baba rẹ!

10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;

11 Bẹ̃li Ọba yio fẹ ẹwà rẹ gidigidi: nitori on li Oluwa rẹ; ki iwọ ki o si ma sìn i.

11 So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.

12 Ọmọbinrin Tire ti on ti ọrẹ; ati awọn ọlọrọ̀ ninu awọn enia yio ma bẹ̀bẹ oju-rere rẹ.

12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.

13 Ti ogo ti ogo li ọmọbinrin ọba na ninu ile: iṣẹ wura ọnà abẹrẹ li aṣọ rẹ̀.

13 The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.

14 Ninu aṣọ iṣẹ ọnà abẹrẹ li a o mu u tọ̀ ọba wá: awọn wundia, ẹgbẹ rẹ̀ ti ntọ̀ ọ lẹhin li a o mu tọ̀ ọ wá.

14 She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.

15 Pẹlu inu didùn ati pẹlu ayọ̀ li a o fi mu wọn wá: nwọn o si wọ̀ ãfin ọba lọ.

15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.

16 Nipò awọn baba rẹ li awọn ọmọ rẹ yio wà, ẹniti iwọ o ma fi jẹ oye lori ilẹ gbogbo.

16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.

17 Emi o ma ṣe orukọ rẹ ni iranti ni iran gbogbo: nitorina li awọn enia yio ṣe ma yìn ọ lai ati lailai.

17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
