1 BI agbọnrin iti ma mi hẹlẹ si ipadò omi, Ọlọrun, bẹ̃li ọkàn mi nmi hẹlẹ si ọ.

1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

2 Ongbẹ Ọlọrun ngbẹ ọkàn mi, ti Ọlọrun alãye: nigbawo li emi o wá, ti emi o si yọju niwaju Ọlọrun.

2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

3 Omije mi li onjẹ mi li ọsan ati li oru, nigbati nwọn nwi fun mi nigbagbogbo pe, Ọlọrun rẹ dà?

3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?

4 Nigbati mo ba ranti nkan wọnyi, emi tú ọkàn mi jade ninu mi: emi ti ba ọ̀pọ ijọ enia lọ, emi ba wọn lọ si ile Ọlọrun, pẹlu ohùn ayọ̀ on iyìn, pẹlu ọ̀pọ enia ti npa ọjọ mimọ́ mọ́.

4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.

5 Ẽṣe ti ori rẹ fi tẹ̀ba, iwọ ọkàn mi? ẽṣe ti ara rẹ kò fi lelẹ ninu mi? iwọ ṣe ireti niti Ọlọrun: nitori emi o sa ma yìn i sibẹ fun iranlọwọ oju rẹ̀.

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.

6 Ọlọrun mi, ori ọkàn mi tẹ̀ ba ninu mi: nitorina li emi o ṣe ranti rẹ lati ilẹ Jordani wá, ati lati Hermoni, lati òke Misari wá.

6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.

7 Ibu omi npè ibu omi nipa hihó ṣiṣan-omi rẹ: gbogbo riru omi ati bibì omi rẹ bò mi mọlẹ.

7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

8 Ṣugbọn Oluwa yio paṣẹ iṣeun-ifẹ rẹ̀ nigba ọ̀san, ati li oru orin rẹ̀ yio wà pẹlu mi, ati adura mi si Ọlọrun ẹmi mi.

8 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.

9 Emi o wi fun Ọlọrun, apata mi pe, Ẽṣe ti iwọ fi gbagbe mi? ẽṣe ti emi fi nrìn ni ìgbawẹ nitori inilara ọta nì.

9 I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

10 Bi ẹnipe idà ninu egungun mi li ẹ̀gan ti awọn ọta mi ngàn mi; nigbati nwọn nwi fun mi lojojumọ pe, Ọlọrun rẹ dà?

10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?

11 Ẽṣe ti ori rẹ fi tẹ̀ba, iwọ ọkàn mi? ẽṣe ti ara rẹ kò fi lelẹ ninu mi? iwọ ṣe ireti niti Ọlọrun; nitori emi o sa ma yìn i sibẹ, ẹniti iṣe iranlọwọ oju mi ati Ọlọrun mi.

11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
