1 GBOHÙN mi nigbati mo ba npè, Ọlọrun ododo mi: iwọ li o da mi ni ìde ninu ipọnju; ṣe ojurere fun mi, ki o si gbọ́ adura mi.

1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

2 Ẹnyin ọmọ enia, ẹ o ti sọ ogo mi di itiju pẹ to? ẹnyin o ti fẹ asan pẹ to, ti ẹ o si ma wá eke iṣe?

2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

3 Ṣugbọn ki ẹ mọ̀ pe Oluwa yà ẹni ayanfẹ sọ̀tọ fun ara rẹ̀: Oluwa yio gbọ́ nigbati mo ba kepè e.

3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.

4 Ẹ duro ninu ẹ̀ru, ẹ má si ṣe ṣẹ̀; ẹ ba ọkàn nyin sọ̀rọ lori ẹní nyin, ki ẹ si duro jẹ.

4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

5 Ẹ ru ẹbọ ododo, ki ẹ si gbẹkẹ nyin le Oluwa.

5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

6 Ẹni pupọ li o nwipe, Tani yio ṣe rere fun wa? Oluwa, iwọ gbé imọlẹ oju rẹ soke si wa lara.

6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

7 Iwọ ti fi ayọ̀ si mi ni inu, jù igba na lọ ti ọkà wọn ati ọti-waini wọn di pupọ̀.

7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

8 Emi o dubulẹ pẹlu li alafia, emi o si sùn; nitori iwọ, Oluwa, nikanṣoṣo li o nmu mi joko li ailewu.

8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
