Emi ṣe ara mi bi ẹnipe ọrẹ tabi arakunrin mi tilẹ ni: emi fi ibinujẹ tẹriba, bi ẹniti nṣọ̀fọ iya rẹ̀.

I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.
