¹ IBUKÚN ni fun awọn ti a dari irekọja wọn jì, ti a bò ẹ̀ṣẹ wọn mọlẹ.

¹ Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

² Ibukún ni fun ọkunrin na ẹniti Oluwa kò kà ẹ̀ṣẹ si lọrun, ati ninu ẹmi ẹniti ẹ̀tan kò si.

² Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

³ Nigbati mo dakẹ, egungun mi di gbigbo nitori igbe mi ni gbogbo ọjọ.

³ When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

⁴ Nitori li ọsan ati li oru, ọwọ rẹ wuwo si mi lara: omi ara mi si dabi ọdá-ẹ̀run.

⁴ For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.

⁵ Emi jẹwọ ẹ̀ṣẹ mi fun ọ, ati ẹ̀ṣẹ mi li emi kò si fi pamọ́. Emi wipe, emi o jẹwọ ìrekọja mi fun Oluwa: iwọ si dari ẹbi ẹ̀ṣẹ mi jì.

⁵ I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

⁶ Nitori eyi li olukulùku ẹni ìwa-bi-ọlọrun yio ma gbadura si ọ ni igba ti a le ri ọ: nitõtọ ninu iṣan-omi nla, nwọn kì yio sunmọ ọdọ rẹ̀.

⁶ For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

⁷ Iwọ ni ibi ipamọ́ mi: iwọ o pa mi mọ́ kuro ninu iṣẹ́; iwọ o fi orin igbala yi mi ka kiri.

⁷ Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.

⁸ Emi o fi ẹsẹ̀ rẹ le ọ̀na, emi o si kọ́ ọ li ọ̀na ti iwọ o rìn: emi o ma fi oju mi tọ́ ọ.

⁸ I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

⁹ Ki ẹnyin ki o máṣe dabi ẹṣin tabi ibaka, ti kò ni iyè ninu: ẹnu ẹniti a kò le ṣe aifi ijanu bọ̀, ki nwọn ki o má ba sunmọ ọ.

⁹ Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

¹⁰ Ọ̀pọ ikãnu ni yio wà fun enia buburu: ṣugbọn ẹniti o ba gbẹkẹle Oluwa, ãnu ni yio yi i ka kiri.

¹⁰ Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.

¹¹ Ki inu nyin ki o dùn niti Oluwa, ẹ si ma yọ̀, ẹnyin olododo; ẹ si ma kọrin fun ayọ̀, gbogbo ẹnyin ti aiya nyin duro ṣinṣin.

¹¹ Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
