1 OLUBUKÚN li oluwa apata mi, ẹniti o kọ́ ọwọ mi li ogun, ati ika mi ni ìja:

1 Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

2 Õre mi, ati odi-agbara mi; ile-iṣọ giga, ati olugbala mi; asà mi, ati ẹniti mo gbẹkẹle; eniti o tẹri awọn enia mi ba labẹ mi.

2 My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.

3 Oluwa, kili enia, ti iwọ fi nkiye si i! tabi ọmọ enia, ti iwọ fi nronú rẹ̀!

3 LORD, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!

4 Enia dabi asan: bi ojìji ti nkọja lọ li ọjọ rẹ̀.

4 Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.

5 Oluwa, tẹ̀ ọrun rẹ ba, ki o si sọ̀kalẹ: tọ́ awọn òke nla, nwọn o si ru ẽfin.

5 Bow thy heavens, O LORD, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

6 Kọ manamana jade, ki o si tú wọn ka: ta ọfà rẹ ki o si dà wọn rú.

6 Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.

7 Rán ọwọ rẹ lati òke wá; yọ mi, ki o si gbà mi kuro ninu omi nla, li ọwọ awọn ọmọ àjeji.

7 Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;

8 Ẹnu ẹniti nsọ̀rọ asan, ọwọ ọtún wọn si jẹ ọwọ ọtún eke.

8 Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

9 Ọlọrun, emi o kọ orin titun si ọ: lara ohun ọnà orin olokùn mẹwa li emi o kọrin iyìn si ọ.

9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.

10 On li o nfi igbala fun awọn ọba: ẹniti o gbà Dafidi iranṣẹ rẹ̀ lọwọ idà ipanilara.

10 It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.

11 Yọ mi, ki o si gbà mi lọwọ awọn ọmọ àjeji, ẹnu ẹniti nsọ̀rọ asan, ati ọwọ ọtún wọn jẹ ọwọ ọtún eke:

11 Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:

12 Ki awọn ọmọkunrin wa, ki o dabi igi gbigbin ti o dagba ni igba-ewe wọn; ki awọn ọmọbinrin wa ki o le dabi ọwọ̀n igun-ile, ti a ṣe lọnà bi afarawe ãfin.

12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:

13 Ki aká wa ki o le kún, ki o ma funni li oniruru iṣura: ki awọn agutan wa ki o ma bi ẹgbẹgbẹrun ati ẹgbẹgbẹrun mẹwa ni igboro wa:

13 That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets:

14 Ki awọn malu wa ki o le rẹrù; ki o má si ikọlù, tabi ikolọ jade: ki o má si aroye ni igboro wa.

14 That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets.

15 Ibukún ni fun awọn enia, ti o mbẹ ni iru ìwa bẹ̃: nitõtọ, ibukún ni fun awọn enia na, ti ẹniti Ọlọrun Oluwa iṣe.

15 Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD.
