1 OLUWA gbà mi lọwọ ọkunrin buburu nì, yọ mi lọwọ ọkunrin ìka nì;
1 Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;
2 Ẹniti nrò ìwa-buburu ni inu wọn; nigbagbogbo ni nwọn nrú ìja soke si mi.
2 Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.
3 Nwọn ti pọ́n ahọn wọn bi ejo; oro pãmọlẹ mbẹ li abẹ ète wọn.
3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison is under their lips. Selah.
4 Oluwa, pa mi mọ́ kuro lọwọ enia buburu; yọ mi kuro lọwọ ọkunrin ìka nì; ẹniti o ti pinnu rẹ̀ lati bì ìrin mi ṣubu.
4 Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
5 Awọn agberaga dẹ pakute silẹ fun mi, ati okùn; nwọn ti nà àwọn lẹba ọ̀na; nwọn ti kẹkùn silẹ fun mi.
5 The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.
6 Emi wi fun Oluwa pe, iwọ li Ọlọrun mi: Oluwa, gbọ́ ohùn ẹ̀bẹ mi.
6 I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.
7 Ọlọrun Oluwa, agbara igbala mi, iwọ li o bò ori mi mọlẹ li ọjọ ìja.
7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
8 Oluwa, máṣe fi ifẹ enia buburu fun u: máṣe kún ọgbọ́n buburu rẹ̀ lọwọ: ki nwọn ki o má ba gbé ara wọn ga.
8 Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.
9 Bi o ṣe ti ori awọn ti o yi mi ká kiri ni, jẹ ki ìka ète ara wọn ki o bò wọn mọlẹ.
9 As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
10 A o da ẹyin iná si wọn lara: on o wọ́ wọn lọ sinu iná, sinu ọgbun omi jijin, ki nwọn ki o má le dide mọ́.
10 Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.
11 Máṣe jẹ ki alahọn buburu ki o fi ẹsẹ mulẹ li aiye: ibi ni yio ma dọdẹ ọkunrin ìka nì lati bì i ṣubu.
11 Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
12 Emi mọ̀ pe, Oluwa yio mu ọ̀ran olupọnju duro, ati are awọn talaka.
12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.
13 Nitõtọ awọn olododo yio ma fi ọpẹ fun orukọ rẹ: awọn ẹni diduro-ṣinṣin yio ma gbe iwaju rẹ.
13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
