¹ IWỌ o ti gbagbe mi pẹ to, Oluwa, lailai? iwọ o ti pa oju rẹ mọ́ pẹ to kuro lara mi?

¹ How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

² Emi o ti ma gbìmọ li ọkàn mi pẹ to? ti emi o ma ni ibinujẹ li ọkàn mi lojojumọ? ọta mi yio ti gberaga sori mi pẹ to?

² How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

³ Rò o, ki o si gbohùn mi, Oluwa Ọlọrun mi: mu oju mi mọlẹ, ki emi ki o má ba sùn orun ikú.

³ Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

⁴ Ki ọta mi ki o má ba wipe, emi ti ṣẹgun rẹ̀; awọn ti nyọ mi lẹnu a si ma yọ̀, nigbati a ba ṣi mi nipò.

⁴ Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

⁵ Ṣugbọn emi o gbẹkẹle ãnu rẹ; ọkàn mi yio yọ̀ ni igbala rẹ.

⁵ But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

⁶ Emi o ma kọrin si Oluwa, nitoriti o ṣe fun mi li ọ̀pọlọpọ.

⁶ I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
