1 GBÀ-NI Oluwa; nitori awọn ẹni ìwa-bi-Ọlọrun dasẹ̀; nitori awọn olõtọ dasẹ̀ kuro ninu awọn ọmọ enia.
1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2 Olukuluku wọn mba ẹnikeji rẹ̀ sọ asan; ète ipọnni ati ọkàn meji ni nwọn fi nsọ.
2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
3 Oluwa yio ké gbogbo ète ipọnni kuro, ati ahọn ti nsọ̀rọ ohun nla.
3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
4 Ti o wipe, Ahọn wa li awa o fi ṣẹgun; ète wa ni ti wa: tani iṣe oluwa wa?
4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
5 Nitori inira awọn talaka, nitori imi-ẹ̀dun awọn alaini, Oluwa wipe, nigbayi li emi o dide; emi o si yọ ọ si ibi ailewu kuro lọwọ ẹniti nfẹ̀ si i.
5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
6 Ọ̀rọ Oluwa, ọ̀rọ funfun ni, bi fadaka ti a yọ́ ni ileru erupẹ, ti a dà ni igba meje.
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Iwọ o pa wọn mọ́, Oluwa, iwọ o pa olukuluku wọn mọ́ kuro lọwọ iran yi lailai.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
8 Awọn enia buburu nrìn ni iha gbogbo, nigbati a ba gbé awọn enia-kenia leke.
8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
