1 AṢIWERE wi li ọkàn rẹ̀ pe, Ọlọrun kò si. Nwọn bajẹ, nwọn si nṣe iṣẹ irira, kò si ẹniti nṣe rere.

1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

2 Oluwa bojuwò lati ọrun wá sara awọn ọmọ enia, lati wò bi ẹnikan wà ti oye ye, ti o si nwá Ọlọrun.

2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

3 Gbogbo wọn li o si jumọ yà si apakan, nwọn si di elẽri patapata; kò si ẹniti nṣe rere, kò si ẹnikan.

3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

4 Gbogbo awọn ti nṣiṣẹ ẹ̀ṣẹ kò ha ni ìmọ? awọn ẹniti njẹ enia mi bi ẹni jẹun, nwọn kò si kepè Oluwa.

4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.

5 Nibẹ ni ẹ̀ru bà wọn gidigidi: nitoriti Ọlọrun mbẹ ninu iran olododo.

5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

6 Ẹnyin dojutì ìmọ awọn talaka, ṣugbọn Oluwa li àbo rẹ̀.

6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.

7 Tani yio fi igbala fun Israeli lati Sioni jade wá! nigbati Oluwa ba mu ikólọ awọn enia rẹ̀ pada bọ̀, Jakobu yio yọ̀, inu Israeli yio si dùn.

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
