1 MÁṢE pa ẹnu rẹ mọ́, Ọlọrun iyìn mi;

1 Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

2 Nitori ti ẹnu awọn enia buburu, ati ẹnu awọn ẹlẹtan yà silẹ si mi: nwọn ti fi ahọn eke sọ̀rọ si mi.

2 For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

3 Nwọn si fi ọ̀rọ irira yi mi ka kiri; nwọn si mba mi ja li ainidi.

3 They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

4 Nipo ifẹ mi nwọn nṣe ọta mi: ṣugbọn emi ngba adura.

4 For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

5 Nwọn si fi ibi san ire fun mi, ati irira fun ifẹ mi.

5 And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

6 Yan enia buburu tì i: jẹ ki Olufisùn ki o duro li ọwọ ọtún rẹ̀.

6 Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

7 Nigbati a o ṣe idajọ rẹ̀, ki a da a lẹbi: ki adura rẹ̀ ki o di ẹ̀ṣẹ;

7 When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

8 Ki ọjọ rẹ̀ ki o kuru; ki ẹlomiran ki o rọpo iṣẹ rẹ̀.

8 Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

9 Ki awọn ọmọ rẹ̀ ki o di alainibaba, ki aya rẹ̀ ki o di opó.

9 Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

10 Jẹ ki awọn ọmọ rẹ̀ ki o di alarinkiri, ti nṣagbe: ki nwọn ki o ma tọrọ onjẹ jina si ibi ahoro wọn.

10 Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

11 Jẹ ki alọnilọwọ-gbà ki o mu ohun gbogbo ti o ni; ki alejo ki o kó èrè iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ lọ.

11 Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

12 Ki ẹnikẹni ki o má wà lati ṣãnu fun u: má si ṣe jẹ ki ẹnikẹni ki o si lati ṣe oju rere fun awọn ọmọ rẹ̀ alainibaba.

12 Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

13 Ki a ke ati ọmọ-de-ọmọ rẹ̀ kuro, ati ni iran ti mbọ̀ ki orukọ wọn ki o parẹ.

13 Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

14 Ki a ma ranti ẹ̀ṣẹ awọn baba rẹ̀ lọdọ Oluwa; má si jẹ ki a nù ẹ̀ṣẹ iya rẹ̀ nù.

14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

15 Jẹ ki nwọn ki o wà niwaju Oluwa nigbagbogbo, ki o le ke iranti wọn kuro lori ilẹ.

15 Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

16 Nitori ti kò ranti lati ṣãnu, ṣugbọn o ṣe inunibini si ọkunrin talaka ati olupọnju nì, ki o le pa onirobinujẹ-ọkàn.

16 Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

17 Bi o ti fẹ egun, bẹ̃ni ki o de si i: bi inu rẹ̀ kò ti dùn si ire, bẹ̃ni ki o jina si i.

17 As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

18 Bi o ti fi egun wọ ara rẹ li aṣọ bi ẹwu rẹ̀, bẹ̃ni ki o wá si inu rẹ̀ bi omi, ati bi orõro sinu egungun rẹ̀.

18 As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

19 Jẹ ki o ri fun u bi aṣọ ti o bò o lara, ati fun àmure ti o fi gbajá nigbagbogbo.

19 Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

20 Eyi li ère awọn ọta mi lati ọwọ Oluwa wá, ati ti awọn ti nsọ̀rọ ibi si ọkàn mi.

20 Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.

21 Ṣugbọn iwọ ṣe fun mi, Ọlọrun Oluwa, nitori orukọ rẹ: nitoriti ãnu rẹ dara, iwọ gbà mi.

21 But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

22 Nitoripe talaka ati olupọnju li emi aiya mi si gbọgbẹ ninu mi.

22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

23 Emi nkọja lọ bi ojiji ti o nfà sẹhin, emi ntì soke tì sodò bi eṣú.

23 I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.

24 Ẽkun mi di ailera nitori igbawẹ; ẹran-ara mi si gbẹ nitori ailọra.

24 My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

25 Emi di ẹ̀gan fun wọn pẹlu: nigbati nwọn wò mi, nwọn mi ori wọn.

25 I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

26 Ràn mi lọwọ, Oluwa Ọlọrun mi: gbà mi gẹgẹ bi ãnu rẹ.

26 Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

27 Ki nwọn ki o le mọ̀ pe ọwọ rẹ li eyi; pe Iwọ, Oluwa, li o ṣe e.

27 That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.

28 Nwọn o ma gegun, ṣugbọn iwọ ma sure: nigbati nwọn ba dide, ki oju ki o tì wọn; ṣugbọn iranṣẹ rẹ yio yọ̀.

28 Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

29 Jẹ ki a fi ìtiju wọ̀ awọn ọta mi li aṣọ, ki nwọn ki o si fi idaru-dapọ̀ wọn bò ara, bi ẹnipe ẹ̀wu.

29 Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

30 Emi o ma fi ẹnu mi yìn Oluwa gidigidi; nitõtọ, emi o ma yìn i lãrin ọ̀pọ enia.

30 I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

31 Nitori ti yio duro li ọwọ ọtún olupọnju, lati gbà a lọwọ awọn ti o nda ọkàn rẹ̀ lẹbi.

31 For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.
