Proverbs 12 - Listen Online

¹ ẸNIKẸNI ti o fẹ ẹkọ́, o fẹ ìmọ: ṣugbọn ẹniti o korira ibawi, ẹranko ni.

¹ Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.

² Enia rere ni ojurere lọdọ Oluwa: ṣugbọn enia ete buburu ni yio dalẹbi.

² A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

³ A kì yio fi ẹsẹ enia mulẹ nipa ìwa-buburu: ṣugbọn gbòngbo olododo kì yio fatu.

³ A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

⁴ Obinrin oniwa-rere li ade ọkọ rẹ̀: ṣugbọn eyi ti ndojuti ni dabi ọyún ninu egungun rẹ̀.

⁴ A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

⁵ Ìro olododo tọ́: ṣugbọn ìgbimọ awọn enia buburu, ẹ̀tan ni.

⁵ The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

⁶ Ọ̀rọ enia buburu ni lati luba fun ẹ̀jẹ: ṣugbọn ẹnu aduro-ṣinsin ni yio gbà wọn silẹ.

⁶ The words of the wicked are to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

⁷ A bì enia buburu ṣubu, nwọn kò si si: ṣugbọn ile olododo ni yio duro.

⁷ The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.

⁸ A o yìn enia gẹgẹ bi ọgbọ́n rẹ̀: ṣugbọn ẹni alayidayida aiya li a o gàn.

⁸ A man shall be commended according to his wisdom: but he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.

⁹ Ẹniti a ngàn, ti o si ni ọmọ-ọdọ, o san jù ẹ̀niti nyìn ara rẹ̀ ti kò si ni onjẹ.

⁹ He that is despised, and hath a servant, is better than he that honoureth himself, and lacketh bread.

¹⁰ Olododo enia mọ̀ ãjo ẹmi ẹran rẹ̀: ṣugbọn iyọ́nu awọn enia buburu, ìka ni.

¹⁰ A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

¹¹ Ẹniti o ro ilẹ rẹ̀ li a o fi onjẹ tẹlọrun: ṣugbọn ẹniti ntọ̀ enia-lasan lẹhin ni oye kù fun.

¹¹ He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding.

¹² Enia buburu fẹ ilu-odi awọn enia buburu: ṣugbọn gbòngbo olododo so eso.

¹² The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.

¹³ Irekọja ète enia buburu li a fi idẹkùn rẹ̀: ṣugbọn olododo yio yọ kuro ninu ipọnju.

¹³ The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble.

¹⁴ Nipa ère ẹnu enia li a o fi ohun rere tẹ ẹ lọrun: ère-iṣẹ ọwọ enia li a o si san fun u.

¹⁴ A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.

¹⁵ Ọ̀na aṣiwere tọ li oju ara rẹ̀: ṣugbọn ẹniti o fetisi ìgbimọ li ọlọgbọ́n.

¹⁵ The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

¹⁶ Ibinu aṣiwere kò pẹ imọ̀: ṣugbọn amoye enia bò itiju mọlẹ.

¹⁶ A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.

¹⁷ Ẹniti o sọ otitọ, o fi ododo hàn jade; ṣugbọn ẹlẹri eke, ẹ̀tan.

¹⁷ He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.

¹⁸ Awọn kan mbẹ ti nyara sọ̀rọ lasan bi igunni idà; ṣugbọn ahọn ọlọgbọ́n, ilera ni.

¹⁸ There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

¹⁹ Ete otitọ li a o mu duro lailai; ṣugbọn ahọn eke, ìgba diẹ ni.

¹⁹ The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

²⁰ Ẹtan wà li aiya awọn ti nrò ibi: ṣugbọn fun awọn ìgbimọ alafia, ayọ̀ ni.

²⁰ Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellers of peace is joy.

²¹ Kò si ibi kan ti yio ba olododo; ṣugbọn awọn enia buburu ni yio kún fun ibi.

²¹ There shall no evil happen to the just: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.

²² Irira loju Oluwa li ahọn eke; ṣugbọn awọn ti nṣe rere ni didùn-inu rẹ̀.

²² Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.

²³ Ọlọgbọ́n enia pa ìmọ mọ; ṣugbọn aiya awọn aṣiwere nkede iwere.

²³ A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.

²⁴ Ọwọ alãpọn ni yio ṣe akoso; ṣugbọn ọlẹ ni yio wà labẹ irú-sisìn.

²⁴ The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.

²⁵ Ibinujẹ li aiya enia ni idori rẹ̀ kọ odò; ṣugbọn ọ̀rọ rere ni imu u yọ̀.

²⁵ Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

²⁶ Olododo tọ́ aladugbo rẹ̀ si ọ̀na; ṣugbọn ọ̀na awọn enia buburu tàn wọn jẹ.

²⁶ The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.

²⁷ Ọlẹ enia kò mu ohun ọdẹ rẹ̀; ṣugbọn lati jẹ alãpọn enia, ọrọ̀ iyebiye ni.

²⁷ The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.

²⁸ Li ọ̀na olododo ni ìye; ikú kò si loju ọ̀na otitọ.

²⁸ In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
