1 KIYESI i, Emi o rán onṣẹ mi, yio si tún ọ̀na ṣe niwaju mi: ati Oluwa, ti ẹnyin nwá, yio de li ojijì si tempili rẹ̀, ani onṣẹ majẹmu na, ti inu nyin dùn si; kiye si i, o mbọ̀ wá, li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi.
1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to this temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
2 Ṣugbọn tali o le gbà ọjọ wíwa rẹ̀? tani yio si duro nigbati o ba fi ara hàn? nitori on dabi iná ẹniti ndà fadakà, ati bi ọṣẹ afọṣọ:
2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
3 On o si joko bi ẹniti nyọ́, ti o si ndà fadakà: yio si ṣe awọn ọmọ Lefi mọ́, yio si yọ́ wọn bi wurà on fadakà, ki nwọn ki o le mu ọrẹ ododo wá fun Oluwa.
3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifer of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
4 Nigbana ni ọrẹ Juda ati ti Jerusalemu yio wù Oluwa, gẹgẹ bi ti ọjọ igbãni, ati gẹgẹ bi ọdun atijọ.
4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
5 Emi o si sunmọ nyin fun idajọ, emi o si ṣe ẹlẹri yiyara si awọn oṣó, ati si awọn panṣaga, ati si awọn abura eké, ati awọn ti o ni alagbaṣe lara ninu ọyà rẹ̀, ati opo, ati alainibaba, ati si ẹniti o nrẹ́ alejo jẹ, ti nwọn kò si bẹ̀ru mi, li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi.
5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
6 Nitori Emi li Oluwa, Emi kò yipada; nitorina li a kò ṣe run ẹnyin ọmọ Jakobu.
6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
7 Lati ọjọ awọn baba nyin wá li ẹnyin tilẹ ti yapa kuro ni ilàna mi, ti ẹ kò si pa wọn mọ. Ẹ yipada si ọdọ mi, Emi o si yipada si ọdọ nyin, li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi. Ṣugbọn ẹnyin wipe, nipa bawo li awa o yipada?
7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
8 Enia yio ha jà Ọlọrun li olè? ṣugbọn ẹnyin sa ti jà mi li olè. Ṣugbọn ẹnyin wipe, nipa bawo li awa fi jà ọ li olè? Nipa idamẹwa ati ọrẹ.
8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
9 Riré li a o fi nyin ré: nitori ẹnyin ti jà mi li olè, ani gbogbo orilẹ-ède yi.
9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
10 Ẹ mu gbogbo idamẹwa wá si ile iṣura, ki onjẹ ba le wà ni ile mi, ẹ si fi eyi dán mi wò nisisiyi, bi emi ki yio ba ṣi awọn ferese ọrun fun nyin, ki nsi tú ibukún jade fun nyin, tobẹ̃ ti ki yio si aye to lati gbà a.
10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
11 Emi o si ba ajẹnirun wi nitori nyin, on kì o si run eso ilẹ nyin, bẹ̃ni àjara nyin kì o rẹ̀ dànu, li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
12 Gbogbo orilẹ-ède ni yio si pè nyin li alabukún fun: nitori ẹnyin o jẹ ilẹ ti o wuni, li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi.
12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.
13 Ọ̀rọ nyin ti jẹ lile si mi, li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi. Ṣugbọn ẹnyin wipe, Ọ̀rọ kili awa sọ si ọ?
13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
14 Ẹnyin ti wipe, Asan ni lati sìn Ọlọrun: anfani kili o si wà, ti awa ti pa ilàna rẹ̀ mọ, ti awa si ti rìn ni igbãwẹ̀ niwaju Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun?
14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
15 Ṣugbọn nisisiyi awa pè agberaga li alabùkunfun; lõtọ awọn ti o nhùwa buburu npọ si i; lõtọ, awọn ti o dán Oluwa wò li a dá si.
15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
16 Nigbana li awọn ti o bẹ̀ru Oluwa mba ara wọn sọ̀rọ nigbakugba; Oluwa si tẹti si i, o si gbọ́, a si kọ iwe-iranti kan niwaju rẹ̀, fun awọn ti o bẹ̀ru Oluwa, ti nwọn si nṣe aṣaro orukọ rẹ̀.
16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17 Nwọn o si jẹ temi ni ini kan, li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi, li ọjọ na ti emi o dá; emi o si dá wọn si gẹgẹ bi enia iti ma dá ọmọ rẹ̀ si ti o nsìn i.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Nigbana li ẹnyin o yipada, ẹ o si mọ̀ iyatọ̀ lãrin olododo ati ẹni-buburu, lãrin ẹniti nsìn Ọlọrun, ati ẹniti kò sìn i.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
