1 ELIHU si sọ si i lọ wipe,

1 Elihu also proceeded, and said,

2 Bùn mi laye diẹ, emi o si fi hàn ọ, nitori ọ̀rọ sisọ ni o kù fun Ọlọrun.

2 Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God's behalf.

3 Emi o mu ìmọ mi ti ọ̀na jijin wá, emi o si fi ododo fun Ẹlẹda mi.

3 I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

4 Nitoripe ọ̀rọ mi kì yio ṣeke nitõtọ, ẹniti o pé ni ìmọ wà pẹlu rẹ.

4 For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.

5 Kiyesi i, Ọlọrun li agbara, kò si gàn ẹnikẹni, o li agbara ni ipá ati oye.

5 Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

6 On kì ida ẹmi enia buburu sí, ṣugbọn o fi otitọ fun awọn talaka.

6 He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.

7 On kì imu oju rẹ̀ kuro lara olododo, ṣugbọn pẹlu awọn ọba ni nwọn wà lori itẹ; ani o fi idi wọn mulẹ lailai, a si gbe wọn lekè.

7 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.

8 Bi a ba si dè wọn ninu àba, ti a si fi okun ipọnju dè wọn,

8 And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;

9 Nigbana ni ifi iṣẹ wọn hàn fun wọn, ati irekọja wọn ti nwọn fi gbe ara wọn ga.

9 Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.

10 O ṣi wọn leti pẹlu si ọ̀na ẹkọ́, o si paṣẹ ki nwọn ki o pada kuro ninu aiṣedede.

10 He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.

11 Bi nwọn ba gbagbọ, ti nwọn si sin i, nwọn o lò ọjọ wọn ninu ìrọra, ati ọdun wọn ninu afẹ́.

11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

12 Ṣugbọn bi nwọn kò ba gbagbọ, nwọn o ti ọwọ idà ṣègbe, nwọn a si kú laini oye.

12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

13 Ṣugbọn awọn àgabagebe li aiya kó ibinu jọ; nwọn kò kigbe nigbati o ba dè wọn.

13 But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.

14 Nigbana ni ọkàn wọn yio kú li ewe, ẹmi wọn a si wà ninu awọn oniwa Sodomu.

14 They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.

15 On gba otoṣi ninu ipọnju rẹ̀, a si ṣi wọn li eti ninu inilara.

15 He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.

16 Bẹ̃ni pẹlupẹlu o si dẹ̀ ọ lọ lati inu ihagaga si ibi gbõrò, ti kò ni wahala ninu rẹ̀; ati ohun ti a si gbe kalẹ ni tabeli rẹ, a jẹ kiki ọ̀ra.

16 Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.

17 Ṣugbọn iwọ kún fun idajọ awọn enia buburu; idajọ ati otitọ di ọ mu.

17 But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.

18 Nitori ibinu mbẹ, ṣọra ki titó rẹ ma bà tàn ọ lọ; má si ṣe jẹ ki titobi irapada mu ọ ṣìna.

18 Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.

19 Ọrọ̀ rẹ pọ̀ to, ti wahala kì yio fi de ba ọ bi? tabi ipá agbara rẹ?

19 Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.

20 Má ṣe ifẹ oru, nigbati a nke awọn orilẹ-ède kuro ni ipo wọn.

20 Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.

21 Ma ṣọra ki iwọ ki o má yi ara rẹ pada si asan, nitori eyi ni iwọ ti ṣàyan jù sũru lọ.

21 Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

22 Kiyesi i, Ọlọrun a gbeni ga nipa agbara rẹ̀, tani jẹ olukọni bi on?

22 Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?

23 Tali o là ọ̀na-iṣẹ rẹ̀ silẹ fun u, tabi tali o lè wipe, Iwọ ti nṣe aiṣedede?

23 Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?

24 Ranti ki iwọ ki o gbe iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ ga, ti enia ima kọrin si.

24 Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.

25 Olukuluku enia a ma ri i, ẹni-ikú a ma wò o li okere.

25 Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.

26 Kiyesi i, Ọlọrun tobi, awa kò si mọ̀ bi o ti tobi to! bẹ̃ni a kò le wadi iye ọdun rẹ̀ ri.

26 Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

27 Nitoripe on li o fa ikán omi ojo silẹ, ki nwọn ki o kán bi ojo ni ikuku rẹ̀.

27 For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:

28 Ti awọsanma nrọ̀, ti o si nfi sẹ̀ lọpọlọpọ lori enia.

28 Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.

29 Pẹlupẹlu ẹnikẹni le imọ̀ itanká awọsanma, tabi ariwo agọ rẹ̀?

29 Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?

30 Kiyesi i, o tàn imọlẹ yi ara rẹ̀ ka, o si fi isalẹ omi okun bò ara rẹ̀ mọlẹ.

30 Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.

31 Nitoripe nipa wọn ni nṣe idajọ enia, o fun ni li onjẹ li ọ̀pọlọpọ.

31 For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.

32 O fi imọlẹ̀ bò ọwọ rẹ̀ mejeji, o si ran a si ẹni olodi.

32 With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt.

33 Ariwo ãrá rẹ̀ fi i han ni, ọ̀wọ-ẹran pẹlu wipe, O sunmọ etile!

33 The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.
