Read Job 30

1 ṢUGBỌN nisisiyi awọn ti mo gbà li aburo nfi mi ṣẹ̀sin, baba ẹniti emi kẹgàn lati tò pẹlu awọn ajá agbo-ẹran mi.

1 But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.

2 Yea, whereto might the strength of their hands profit me, in whom old age was perished?

3 Nitori aini ati ìyan nwọn di ẹni itakete, nwọn si girijẹ ohun jijẹ iju, ti o wà ni isọdahoro ati òfo lati lailai.

3 For want and famine they were solitary; fleeing into the wilderness in former time desolate and waste.

4 Awọn ẹniti njá ewe-iyọ li ẹ̀ba igbẹ, gbongbo igikigi li ohun jijẹ wọn.

4 Who cut up mallows by the bushes, and juniper roots for their meat.

5 They were driven forth from among men, (they cried after them as after a thief;)

6 Lati gbé inu pàlapala okuta afonifoji, ninu iho ilẹ ati ti okuta.

6 To dwell in the clifts of the valleys, in caves of the earth, and in the rocks.

7 Ninu igbẹ ni nwọn ndún, nwọn ko ara wọn jọ pọ̀ labẹ ẹgun neteli.

7 Among the bushes they brayed; under the nettles they were gathered together.

8 Awọn ọmọ ẹniti oye kò ye, ani ọmọ awọn enia lasan, a si le wọn kuro ninu ilẹ.

8 They were children of fools, yea, children of base men: they were viler than the earth.

9 Njẹ nisisiyi emi di ẹni-orin fun wọn, ani emi di ẹni-asọrọsi fun wọn.

9 And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword.

10 They abhor me, they flee far from me, and spare not to spit in my face.

11 Nitoriti Ọlọrun ti tu okun-ìye mi, o si pọn mi loju; awọn pẹlu si dẹ̀ ijanu niwaju mi.

11 Because he hath loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also let loose the bridle before me.

12 Awọn enia lasan dide li apa ọ̀tun mi, nwọn tì mi li ẹsẹ kuro, nwọn si là ipa-ọ̀na iparun silẹ dè mi.

12 Upon my right hand rise the youth; they push away my feet, and they raise up against me the ways of their destruction.

13 Nwọn dà ipa-ọ̀na mi rú, nwọn ran jàmba mi lọwọ, awọn ti kò li oluranlọwọ;

13 They mar my path, they set forward my calamity, they have no helper.

14 Nwọn de si mi bi yiya omi gburu, ni ariwo nla ni nwọn ko ara wọn kátì si mi.

14 They came upon me as a wide breaking in of waters: in the desolation they rolled themselves upon me.

15 Ẹ̀ru nla yipada bà mi, nwọn lepa ọkàn mi bi ẹfùfù, alafia mi si kọja lọ bi awọsanma.

15 Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my welfare passeth away as a cloud.

16 Ati nisisiyi ọkàn mi si dà jade si mi, ọjọ ipọnju dì mi mu.

16 And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of affliction have taken hold upon me.

17 Oru gùn mi ninu egungun mi, eyiti o bù mi jẹ kò si simi.

17 My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take no rest.

18 By the great force of my disease is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat.

19 O ti mu mi lọ sinu ẹrẹ̀, emi si dabi ekuru ati ẽru,

19 He hath cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes.

20 Emi kepè ọ, iwọ kò si gbọ́ ti emi, emi dide duro, iwọ si fi oju lile wò mi.

20 I cry unto thee, and thou dost not hear me: I stand up, and thou regardest me not.

21 Iwọ pada di ẹni-ìka si mi, ọwọ agbara rẹ ni iwọ fi de ara rẹ li ọ̀na si mi.

21 Thou art become cruel to me: with thy strong hand thou opposest thyself against me.

22 Iwọ gbe mi soke si ẹ̀fufu, iwọ mu mi fò lọ, bẹ̃ni iwọ si sọ mi di asan patapata.

22 Thou liftest me up to the wind; thou causest me to ride upon it, and dissolvest my substance.

23 Emi sa mọ̀ pe iwọ o mu mi lọ sinu ikú, ati si ile-apejọ fun gbogbo alãye.

23 For I know that thou wilt bring me to death, and to the house appointed for all living.

24 Bi o ti wu ki o ṣe, ẹnikan kì yio ha nawọ rẹ̀ ni igba iṣubu rẹ̀, tabi kì yio ké ninu iparun rẹ̀.

24 Howbeit he will not stretch out his hand to the grave, though they cry in his destruction.

25 Emi kò ha sọkun bi fun ẹniti o wà ninu iṣẹ, ọkàn mi kò ha bajẹ fun talaka bi?

25 Did not I weep for him that was in trouble? was not my soul grieved for the poor?

26 When I looked for good, then evil came unto me: and when I waited for light, there came darkness.

27 Ikùn mi nru, kò si simi, ọjọ ipọnju ti bá mi.

27 My bowels boiled, and rested not: the days of affliction prevented me.

28 Emi nṣọ̀fọ lọ rinkiri laisi õrùn, emi dide duro ni awujọ, mo si kigbe.

28 I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, and I cried in the congregation.

29 Emi jasi arakunrin ajáko, emi di ẹgbẹ́ awọn abo-ogongo.

29 I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls.

30 My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned with heat.

31 Dùru mi pẹlu si di ti ọ̀fọ, ati ohun-ọnà orin mi si di ohùn awọn ti nsọkún.

31 My harp also is turned to mourning, and my organ into the voice of them that weep.
