1 PẸLUPẸLU Jobu si tun sọ kún ọ̀rọ owe rẹ̀ o si wipe,

1 Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,

2 Bi Ọlọrun ti mbẹ ẹniti o gba idajọ mi lọ, ati Olodumare ti o bà mi li ọkàn jẹ.

2 As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;

3 Niwọn igba ti ẹmi mi mbẹ ninu mi, ati ti ẹmi Ọlọrun mbẹ ni iho imú mi.

3 All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;

4 Ete mi kì yio sọ̀rọ eké, bẹ̃li ahọn mi kì yio sọ̀rọ ẹ̀tan.

4 My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

5 Ki a ma ri pe emi ndá nyin li are, titi emi o fi kú emi kì yio ṣi ìwa otitọ mi kuro lọdọ mi.

5 God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.

6 Ododo mi li emi dimú ṣinṣin, emi kì yio si jọwọ rẹ̀ lọwọ; aiya mi kì yio si gan ọjọ kan ninu ọjọ aiye mi.

6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

7 Ki ọta mi ki o dàbi enia buburu, ati ẹniti ndide si mi ki o dàbi ẹni alaiṣododo.

7 Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.

8 Nitoripe kini ireti àgabagebe, nigbati Ọlọrun ba ke ẹmi rẹ̀ kuro, nigbati o si fà a jade.

8 For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?

9 Ọlọrun yio ha gbọ́ adura rẹ̀, nigbati ipọnju ba de si i?

9 Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?

10 On ha le ni inu-didùn si Olodumare, on ha le ma kepe Ọlọrun nigbagbogbo?

10 Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?

11 Emi o kọ́ nyin li ẹkọ́ niti ọwọ Ọlọrun: eyi ti mbẹ lọdọ Olodumare li emi kì yio fi pamọ.

11 I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.

12 Kiyesi i, gbogbo nyin li o ti ri i, nitori kili ẹnyin ṣe jasi asan pọ̀ bẹ̃?

12 Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?

13 Eyi ni ipín enia buburu lọdọ Ọlọrun, ati ogún awọn aninilara, ti nwọn o gbà lọwọ Olodumare.

13 This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.

14 Bi awọn ọmọ rẹ̀ ba di pupọ̀, fun idà ni, awọn ọmọ-ọmọ rẹ̀ kì yio yo fun onjẹ.

14 If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.

15 Awọn ti o kù ninu tirẹ̀ li a o sinkú ninu ajakalẹ àrun: awọn opó rẹ̀ kì yio si sọkún.

15 Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.

16 Bi o tilẹ kó fàdaka jọ bi erupẹ, ti o si da aṣọ jọ bi amọ̀.

16 Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;

17 Ki o ma dá a, ṣugbọn awọn olõtọ ni yio lò o; awọn alaiṣẹ̀ ni yio si pin fadaka na.

17 He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

18 On kọ́ ile rẹ̀ bi kòkoro aṣọ, ati bi agọbukà ti oluṣọ pa.

18 He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.

19 Ọlọrọ̀ yio dubulẹ, ṣugbọn on kì o tùn ṣe bẹ̃ mọ́, o ṣiju rẹ̀, on kò sì si.

19 The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.

20 Ẹ̀ru nla bà a bi omi ṣiṣan, ẹ̀fufu nla ji i gbe lọ li oru.

20 Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.

21 Ẹfufu ila-õrùn gbe e lọ, on si lọ; ati bi iji nla o si fà a kuro ni ipo rẹ̀.

21 The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.

22 Nitoripe Olodumare yio kọlù u, kì o sì dasi; on iba yọ̀ lati sá kuro li ọwọ rẹ̀.

22 For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.

23 Awọn enia yio si ṣapẹ si i lori, nwọn o si ṣe ṣiọ si i kuro ni ipò rẹ̀.

23 Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
