Read Job 23
1 NIGBANA ni Jobu si dahùn wipe,
1 Then Job answered and said,
2 Ani loni ni ọ̀ran mi korò; ọwọ mi si wuwo si ikerora mi.
2 Even to day is my complaint bitter: my stroke is heavier than my groaning.
3 A! emi iba mọ̀ ibi ti emi iba wá Ọlọrun ri! ki emi ki o tọ̀ ọ lọ si ibujoko rẹ̀,
3 Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!
4 Emi iba si tò ọran na niwaju rẹ̀, ẹnu mi iba si kún fun aroye.
4 I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.
5 Emi iba si mọ̀ ọ̀rọ ti on iba fi da mi lohùn, oye ohun ti iba wi a si ye mi.
5 I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me.
6 Yio ha fi agbara nla ba mi wijọ bi? agbẹdọ̀! kiki on o si kiyesi mi:
6 Will he plead against me with his great power? No; but he would put strength in me.
7 Nibẹ li olododo le iba a wijọ, bẹ̃li emi o si bọ́ li ọwọ onidajọ mi lailai.
7 There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
8 Si wò! bi emi ba lọ si iha ila-õrùn, on kò si nibẹ, ati si iwọ-õrùn ni, emi kò si roye rẹ̀:
8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
9 Niha ariwa bi o ba ṣiṣẹ nibẹ, emi kò ri i, o fi ara rẹ̀ pamọ niha gusu, ti emi kò le ri i.
9 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
10 Ṣugbọn on mọ̀ ọ̀na ti emi ntọ̀, nigbati o ba dan mi wò, emi o jade bi wura.
10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
11 Ẹsẹ mi ti tẹle ipasẹ irin rẹ, ọ̀na rẹ̀ ni mo ti kiyesi, ti nkò si yà kuro.
11 My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
12 Bẹ̃ni emi kò pada sẹhin kuro ninu ofin ẹnu rẹ̀, emi si pa ọ̀rọ ẹnu rẹ̀ mọ́ jù ofin inu mi lọ.
12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
13 Ṣugbọn oninukan li on, tani yio si yi i pada? Eyiti ọkàn rẹ̀ si ti fẹ, eyi na ni iṣe.
13 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.
14 Nitõtọ ohun ti ati yàn silẹ fun mi ni nṣe, ọ̀pọlọpọ iru bẹ li o wà li ọwọ rẹ̀.
14 For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
15 Nitorina ni ara ko ṣe rọ̀ mi niwaju rẹ̀, nigbati mo ba rò o, ẹ̀ru a ba mi.
15 Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him.
16 Nitoripe Ọlọrun ti pá mi li aiya, Olodumare si ndamu mi.
16 For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:
17 Nitoriti a kò ti ke mi kuro niwaju òkunkun, bẹ̃ni kò pa òkùnkùn-biribiri mọ kuro niwaju mi.
17 Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face.
