Read Job 22
1 NIGBANA ni Elifasi, ara Tema, dahùn wipe,
1 Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,
2 Enia le iṣe rere fun Ọlọrun, bi ọlọgbọ́n ti iṣe rere fun ara rẹ̀.
2 Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?
3 Ohun ayọ̀ ha ni fun Olodumare pe, olododo ni iwọ? tabi ere ni fun u, ti iwọ mu ọ̀na rẹ pé?
3 Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him that thou makest thy ways perfect?
4 Yio ha ba ọ wi bi nitori ìbẹru Ọlọrun rẹ, yio ha ba ọ lọ sinu idajọ bi?
4 Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment?
5 Iwa-buburu rẹ kò ha tobi, ati ẹ̀ṣẹ rẹ lainiye?
5 Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?
6 Nitõtọ iwọ gbà ohun ẹri li ọwọ arakunrin rẹ lainidi, iwọ si tú onihoho li aṣọ wọn.
6 For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
7 Iwọ kò fi omi fun alãrẹ mu, iwọ si hawọ onjẹ fun ẹniti ebi npa.
7 Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.
8 Bi o ṣe ti alagbara nì ni, on li o ni aiye, ọlọla si tẹdo sinu rẹ̀.
8 But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it.
9 Iwọ ti rán awọn opó pada lọ li ọwọ ofo, apa awọn ọmọ alainibaba ti di ṣiṣẹ́.
9 Thou has sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.
10 Nitorina ni idẹkun ṣe yi ọ kakiri, ati ìbẹru ojiji nyọ ọ lẹnu.
10 Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;
11 Tabi iwọ kò ha ri okunkun, ati ọ̀pọlọpọ omi ti o bò ọ mọlẹ?
11 Or darkness, that thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.
12 Ọlọrun kò ha jẹ Ẹni giga ọrun? sa wò ori awọn ìrawọ̀ bi nwọn ti ga tó!
12 Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
13 Iwọ si wipe, Ọlọrun ti ṣe mọ̀, on ha le iṣe idajọ lati inu awọsanma dudu wá bi?
13 And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?
14 Awọsanma ti o nipọn ni ibora fun u, ti kò fi le riran; o si rin ninu ayika ọrun.
14 Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.
15 Iwọ fẹ rìn ipa-ọ̀na igbani ti awọn enia buburu ti rìn.
15 Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?
16 Ti a ke lulẹ kuro ninu aiye laipé ọjọ wọn, ipilẹ wọn ti de bi odò ṣiṣàn.
16 Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:
17 Awọn ẹniti o wi fun Ọlọrun pe, Lọ kuro lọdọ wa! Kini Olodumare yio ṣe fun wọn.
17 Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?
18 Sibẹ o fi ohun rere kún ile wọn! ṣugbọn ìmọ enia-buburu jìna si mi!
18 Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
19 Awọn olododo ri i, nwọn si yọ̀, awọn alailẹ̀ṣẹ si fi wọn rẹrin ẹlẹya pe:
19 The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.
20 Lotitọ awọn ọta wa ni a ke kuro, iná yio si jó iyokù wọn run.
20 Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.
21 Fa ara rẹ sunmọ Ọlọrun, iwọ o si ri alafia; nipa eyinì rere yio wá ba ọ.
21 Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
22 Emi bẹ̀ ọ, gba ofin lati ẹnu rẹ̀ wá, ki o si tò ọ̀rọ rẹ̀ si aiya rẹ.
22 Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.
23 Bi iwọ ba yipada sọdọ Olodumare, a si gbe ọ ró, bi iwọ ba si mu ẹ̀ṣẹ jina rére kuro ninu agọ rẹ.
23 If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
24 Ti iwọ ba tẹ wura daradara silẹ lori erupẹ ati wura ófiri labẹ okuta odò.
24 Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
25 Nigbana ni Olodumare yio jẹ iṣura rẹ, ani yio si jẹ fadaka fun ọ ni ọ̀pọlọpọ.
25 Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.
26 Lotitọ nigbana ni iwọ o ni inu didùn ninu Olodumare, iwọ o si gbe oju rẹ soke sọdọ Ọlọrun.
26 For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.
27 Bi iwọ ba gbadura rẹ sọdọ rẹ̀, yio si gbọ́ tirẹ, iwọ o si san ẹ̀jẹ́ rẹ.
27 Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
28 Iwọ si gbimọ ohun kan pẹlu, yio si fi idi mulẹ fun ọ; imọlẹ yio si mọ́ sipa ọ̀na rẹ.
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
29 Nigbati ipa-ọ̀na rẹ ba lọ sisalẹ, nigbana ni iwọ o wipe, Igbesoke mbẹ! Ọlọrun yio si gba onirẹlẹ là!
29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
30 Yio gba ẹniti kì iṣe alaijẹbi là, a o si gbà a nipa mimọ́ ọwọ rẹ.
30 He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.
