Read Job 15
1 NIGBANA ni Elifasi, ara Tema, dahùn wipe,
1 Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said,
2 Ọlọgbọ́n a ma sọ̀rọ ìmọ asan, ki o si ma fi afẹfẹ ila õrùn kún ara rẹ̀ ninu:
2 Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?
3 On le ma fi aroye sọ̀rọ ti kò li ère, tabi pẹlu ọ̀rọ ninu eyiti kò le fi ṣe rere?
3 Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
4 Ani iwọ ṣa ìbẹru tì, iwọ si dí adura lọna niwaju Ọlọrun.
4 Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God.
5 Nitoripe ẹnu ara rẹ li o jẹwọ ẹ̀ṣẹ rẹ, iwọ si yàn ahọn alarekereke li ãyò.
5 For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty.
6 Ẹnu ara rẹ li o da ọ lẹbi, kì iṣe emi, ani ète ara rẹ li o jẹri tì ọ.
6 Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.
7 Iwọ́ ha iṣe ọkunrin ti a kọ́ bi? tabi a ha dá ọ ṣaju awọn oke?
7 Art thou the first man that was born? or wast thou made before the hills?
8 Iwọ gburo aṣiri Ọlọrun ri, tabi iwọ ha dá ọgbọ́n duro sọdọ ara rẹ?
8 Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?
9 Kini iwọ mọ̀ ti awa kò mọ̀, oye kili o ye ọ ti kò si ninu wa.
9 What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us?
10 Elewú ogbó ati ògbologbo enia wà pẹlu wa, ti nwọn gbó jù baba rẹ lọ.
10 With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.
11 Itunu Ọlọrun ha kere lọdọ rẹ, ọ̀rọ kan si ṣe jẹjẹ jù lọdọ rẹ.
11 Are the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee?
12 Ẽṣe ti aiya rẹ fi ndà ọ kiri, tabi kini iwọ tẹjumọ wofin.
12 Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at,
13 Ti iwọ fi yi ẹmi rẹ pada lodi si Ọlọrun, ti o fi njẹ ki ọ̀rọkọrọ ki o ma bọ li ẹnu rẹ bẹ̃?
13 That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth?
14 Kili enia ti o fi mọ́? ati ẹniti a tinu obinrin bi ti yio fi ṣe olododo?
14 What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
15 Kiyesi i, on (Ọlọrun) kò gbẹkẹle awọn ẹni-mimọ́ rẹ̀, ani awọn ọrun kò mọ́ li oju rẹ̀.
15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.
16 Ambọtori enia, ẹni irira ati elẽri, ti nmu ẹ̀ṣẹ bi ẹni mu omi.
16 How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?
17 Emi o fi hàn ọ, gbọ́ ti emi, eyi ti emi si ri, on li emi o si sọ.
17 I will shew thee, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare;
18 Ti awọn ọlọgbọ́n ti pa ni ìtan lati ọdọ awọn baba wọn wá, ti nwọn kò si fi pamọ́.
18 Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it:
19 Awọn ti a fi ilẹ aiye fun nikan, alejo kan kò si là wọn kọja.
19 Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them.
20 Enia buburu nṣe lãlã, pẹlu irora li ọjọ rẹ̀ gbogbo, ati iye ọdun li a dá silẹ fun aninilara.
20 The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor.
21 Iró ìbẹru mbẹ li eti rẹ̀, ninu irora ni alaparun a dide si i.
21 A dreadful sound is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him.
22 O kò gbagbọ pe on o jade kuro ninu okunkun; a si ṣa a sapakan fun idà.
22 He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword.
23 O nwò kakiri fun onjẹ, wipe, nibo li o wà, o mọ̀ pe ọjọ òkunkun sunmọ tosi.
23 He wandereth abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.
24 Ipọnju pẹlu irora ọkàn yio mu u bẹ̀ru, nwọn o si ṣẹgun rẹ̀ bi ọba ti imura ogun.
24 Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.
25 Nitoripe o ti nawọ rẹ̀ jade lodi si Ọlọrun, o si mura rẹ̀ le lodi si Olodumare.
25 For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty.
26 O sure, o si fi ẹhin giga kọlu u, ani fi ike-koko apata rẹ̀ ti o nipọn.
26 He runneth upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers:
27 Nitoriti on fi ọra rẹ̀ bo ara rẹ̀ loju, o si ṣe jabajába ọra si ẹgbẹ rẹ̀.
27 Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on his flanks.
28 On si gbe inu ahoro ilu itakété, ati ninu ileyile ti enia kò gbe mọ́, ti o mura tan lati di àlapa.
28 And he dwelleth in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps.
29 On kò le ilà, bẹ̃ni ohun ini rẹ̀ kò le iduro pẹ, bẹ̃ni kò le imu pipé rẹ̀ duro pẹ lori aiye.
29 He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth.
30 On kì yio jade kuro ninu okunkun, ọ̀wọ-iná ni yio jo ẹká rẹ̀, ati nipasẹ ẹmi ẹnu rẹ̀ ni yio ma kọja lọ kuro.
30 He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away.
31 Ki on ki o má ṣe gbẹkẹle asan, o tan ara rẹ̀ jẹ; nitoripe asan ni yio jasi ère rẹ̀.
31 Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.
32 A o mu u ṣẹ ṣaju pipe ọjọ rẹ̀, ẹka rẹ̀ kì yio si tutu.
32 It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green.
33 Yio si gbòn talubọ eso rẹ̀ dànu bi àjara, yio si rẹ̀ itana rẹ̀ nù bi ti igi olifi.
33 He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive.
34 Nitoripe ajọ awọn àgabagebe yio tuka, iná ni yio si jo agọ abẹtẹlẹ.
34 For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery.
35 Nwọn loyun ìwa-ika, nwọn si bi ẹ̀ṣẹ, ikùn wọn si pèse ẹ̀tan.
35 They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit.
