Read Job 11

1 NIGBANA ni Sofari, ara Naama, dahùn o si wipe,

1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

2 A le iṣe ki a má ṣe dahùn si ọ̀pọlọpọ ọ́rọ, a ha si le dare fun ẹniti ẹnu rẹ̃ kún fun ọ̀rọ sisọ?

2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?

3 Amọ̀tan rẹ le imu enia pa ẹnu wọn mọ bi? bi iwọ ba yọṣuti si ni, ki ẹnikẹni ki o má si doju tì ọ bi?

3 Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

4 Nitori iwọ sa ti wipe, ọ̀rọ ẹkọ́ mi mọ́, emi si mọ́ li oju rẹ.

4 For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.

5 Ṣugbọn o ṣe! Ọlọrun iba jẹ sọ̀rọ, ki o si ya ẹnu rẹ̀ si ọ lara.

5 But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;

6 Ki o si fi aṣiri ọgbọ́n hàn ọ pe, o pọ̀ jù oye enia lọ; nitorina mọ̀ pe: Ọlọrun kò bere to bi ẹbi rẹ.

6 And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

7 Iwọ ha le fi awari ri idi Ọlọrun? iwọ le ri idi Olodumare de pipé rẹ̀?

7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

8 O dabi giga ọrun, kini iwọ le iṣe? o jinlẹ jù ipo-okú lọ, kini iwọ le imọ̀?

8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?

9 Ìwọn rẹ̀ gùn jù aiye lọ, o si ni ìbu jù okun lọ.

9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

10 Bi on ba rekọja, ti o si sénà, tabi ti o si ṣe ikojọpọ, njẹ tani yio da a pada kuro?

10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?

11 On sa mọ̀ enia asan, o ri ìwa-buburu pẹlu, on kò si ni ṣe lãlã lati ṣà a rò.

11 For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it?

12 Enia lasan a sa ma fẹ iṣe ọlọgbọ́n, bi a tilẹ ti bi enia bi ọmọ kẹtẹkẹtẹ.

12 For vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt.

13 Bi iwọ ba tun ọkàn rẹ ṣe, ti iwọ si nawọ rẹ sọdọ rẹ̀.

13 If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;

14 Bi aiṣedede kan ba mbẹ lọwọ rẹ, mu u kuro si ọ̀na jijin rére, máṣe jẹ ki iwàkiwa kó wà ninu agọ rẹ.

14 If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.

15 Nigbana ni iwọ o gbe oju rẹ soke laini abawọn, ani iwọ o duro ṣinṣin, iwọ kì yio si bẹ̀ru.

15 For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:

16 Nitoripe iwọ o gbagbe òṣi rẹ, iwọ o si ranti rẹ̀ bi omi ti o ti ṣàn kọja lọ.

16 Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:

17 Ọjọ aiye rẹ yio si mọlẹ jù ọsan gangan lọ, bi okunkun tilẹ bò ọ mọlẹ nisisiyi, iwọ o dabi owurọ̀.

17 And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.

18 Iwọ o si wà lailewu, nitoripe ireti wà, ani iwọ o rin ilẹ rẹ wò, iwọ o si simi li alafia.

18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.

19 Iwọ o si dubulẹ pẹlu kì yio si sí ẹniti yio dẹ̀ruba ọ, ani ọ̀pọ enia yio ma wá oju-rere rẹ.

19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.

20 Ṣugbọn oju eniakenia yio mófo, nwọn kì yio le sala, ireti wọn a si dabi ẹniti o jọwọ ẹmi rẹ̀ lọwọ.

20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.
